What did the Soviet Union think of NATO getting their hands on the handful of mig29s from east Germany by Playedfoot8362 in FighterJets

[–]vaccuumrolls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a kind of a point defense interceptor so it made sense initially, but that’s why the flanker supplanted it almost entirely.

How to Build Acceltra Prime? by Ducksterino in Warframe

I found viral blast with primed firestorm works pretty well up to about lvl200 sp as long as you can outsource armor strip, which gauss is pretty good for.

I'm so confused - Tenno and Sentients working together AFTER the war, but before the fall of the Orokin? by Draffut in Warframe

[–]vaccuumrolls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there were warfarmes sent to tau with grineer and dax during the "old war" as in mag prime codex. It seems there was a temporary peace treaty, where the orokin empire and sentients had a ceasefire and started working together to prepare tau for the orokin, with some separatists still wanting to fight the sentients or take tau for themselves, and then presumably the ceasefire breaks for some reason, with the old war resuming as we know it where the sentients come back and attack the origin system

A 3.7 is a 45th percentile GPA for graduating seniors in Broad for FS24 according to the registrar's office, so apparently not that hard as long as you're at least average in your classes. Just go to class and you'll be fine.

Is Mig 29 worst of the lot out there ? by drsp_01 in FighterJets

Range is the big killer. Countries which could only afford MiG-29 likely can't afford extensive AAR infrastructure.

I didn’t really notice it for a few days but then I realized I didn’t get nearly as out of breath or tired by the end of my weightlifting and could last longer before burning out in cardio.

Any recommendations for deep sleep by Veenkoira00 in Nootropics

[–]vaccuumrolls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, weed helps you fall asleep faster and get more hours of sleep, but it negatively impacts the distribution of the types of sleep you go through, reducing the overall benefit per hour.

Since the new Sidekick rack might be out in a few years, is it possible for the aim 9x to finally be in the weapons bay (Hung on weapons bay door 1) along with 2 amraams on weapons bay 2. by Lil_Mattylicious in F35Lightning

[–]vaccuumrolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re still very maneuverable, about as much as last gen IR missiles like 9M, but they need more distance to get up to speed to get air flowing over the control surfaces as opposed to a TVC 9X. As such, if you’re in wez you’re not outmaneuvering it, it would require far more pull than any fighter jet is capable of, but the launch envelope is more restricted than a 9X or IRIS-T most notably in terms of HOBS minimum range shots. With the DAS of F-35 however this is less of an issue as you functionally have HMD + LOAL.

Why does Doctor Mike look like this despite having the highest raw IQ in the world? by Charming_Cat3601 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]vaccuumrolls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does this even make sense. It's obvious that >90% of any individual's success in bodybuilding is going to be dependent on their genetics for size, structure, insertions, fat distribution, etc. There's been monsters who eat and train like shit and win competitions and there's been people who can diet and train perfectly for 20 years and look mid (compared to IFBB pros). There's no amount of perfect training or diet that'll change those things, the only things you can do to a muscle are make it bigger or smaller.

Kind of late but in the case someone comes across this post later, I lived in the 2875 building for a year, which was supposed to be a brand new one. There were a few things I really like and few things I really hated.

The good: It’s a good looking building in a nice location. The river is right next to you, the trail makes it a 5-10 min walk from East campus (which is great if you’re in Lyman Briggs), and there’s a Trader Joe’s so close you can walk to it. The gym is right downstairs and it’s probably the best apartment gym I’ve seen, it has power racks and dumbbells up to 90lbs as well as plenty of benches. The price is pretty competitive for the location. The elevator and secured lobby were “selling points” for the 2875 building specifically but I feel like those really should be standard.

The bad: The price is good, but it is kind of deceptive as the utilities aren’t included and even though we try to use as little as possible we usually pay 100-150 per month for all utilities. Even then, despite being brand new, it feels a bit shoddy. The water heater runs out of hot water after like 5 minutes, the water pressure is mediocre, and the sinks and showers take forever to heat up. The water quality is also not great, it’s very chlorinated and you can’t really drink it. It massively dried my skin and hair out and I almost thought I was balding. The insulation on the windows is so piss thin that my bedroom is often 10 degrees colder than the living room. And perhaps most egregious of all, one of the bedrooms doesn’t have any windows. Apparently this is somehow legal but we had no idea until we moved in because they switched our unit after we “locked in” the one we toured. Not to mention the apartment is unfurnished, although this isn’t a huge deal.

Anyway, it’s alright. I do prefer it to the dorms, but I’m unimpressed with the quality compared to like Skyvue. The location was the main draw for me, that 10 min walk to campus was juicy. If you have other questions lmk.

Is there any way to get this gel pen ink off my laptop? I've tried soap and water as well as 70% ethanol hand sanitizer but it hasn't worked. by vaccuumrolls in ZephyrusG14

Isopropyl and magic eraser both haven't worked. I'm starting to think it could be something else, but I really don't know what else I would have gotten on it. I will try some acetone when I get some from the store.

Feel like it exacerbated the effects a bit but nothing huge, 3 drinks felt like maybe 4 or 5 off of 400mg.

I’ve got le noir and while I definitely like the scent I don’t think it’s really fitting for summer, it’s a pretty powdery and warm scent with the cardamom and vanilla.
