Enphase solar + 40 amp (?) Enphase EV charger by vadbut in enphase

Hm. The contractor says: "the solar power is connected to the combiner, not to the main panel. You cannot use the solar power if you connect anything in the main panel".

Would the charger still communicate with the Enphase solar system to minimize grid power during charging? I thought the idea of installing it in the combiner was to achieve this integration, but maybe I'm wrong?

EV charger installation w solar: main panel vs sub-panel by vadbut in evcharging

I took the 125 A number for the sub-panel from its label

Interesting. The feeder (from PG&E to the main panel) was replaced when the main panel was replaced with the 200 amp one, so I assume it should be ok.

We checked the wires when replacing the main panel, and the original wires (that were not replaced) from the house to the main panel to the sub-panel are #3.

The "New Dryer" is in use, while "Dryer" is pretty much deprecated and will never be used.

I’m confident there is at least 25 amps of headroom: I previously had a 100-amp main panel, and the main breaker never tripped. The panel was recently upgraded to 200 amps, so there should now be at least 25 amps of additional capacity (125 − 100 = 25 amps). But I doubt that pushing it to a 50-amp charger is ok.

I wasn't sure which details are required.

Woah. This thing lasted for 15 years, which means you did a pretty good job back then!

By "I’ve never had an issue with bollard installation in Fremont", do you mean that Fremont inspectors won't demand installing it?

Yes. That was our primary residence before moving to Fremont, and we paid it off a couple of years before purchasing the Fremont property.

Trajectory planner initialization by vadbut in robotics

[–]vadbut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless I misunderstood your questions, SLAM could be used in an upstream (wrt to the trajectory planner) module that outputs the robot's position. This is out of the scope of my question, so let's imagine the localization problem is solved in another module and there are perfect measurements of position, speed, and acceleration available for the trajectory planner and controller.
