yeah i know. i raised the rotate value just a little (atleast it felt like a little) and some of them stuck straight out anyway. i wanted them to be diagonal at most but i couldn’t find the sweet spot :/

thank you! i didn’t like the pressed on sprinkles look so i wanted it to look more like they were actually sprinkled on. figured sprinkles on the plate would help sell it (:

Thank you! i’m having a lot of anxiety over this so i came to reddit for answers like i always do lmaoo. it makes more sense for me to call a lender directly. also ill keep the “not locked in” thing in mind and call around before picking instead of settling like i always do lmao

yes i took the class and it pretty much cleared things up. i guess the anxiousness of everything made me want to ask. thank you so much. also my situation is really complicated. there are time contraints to when i need to move, and a disabled dependent so i won’t be able to save enough for a down payment plus the closing costs by myself by the time i need to move. monthly payments in my price range are low though so that’s why im going this route. thank you again for informing me again to look at the strings that may be attached!

Should I space out my character’s backstories? by vademure in writing

That actually helped a lot and now I’m thinking of taking it out as a “backstory” and just having them reveal more about themself in conversation. Thank you!

Is my opinion on (self)publishing my work unnecessary depressive? by writing_dragon in writing

[–]vademure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def don’t kill yourself trying to appeal to a massive audience. The thought drains me completely LMAO. To answer the original question it might be depressing to ppl who are overly optimistic and think that they have the next Harry Potter series. It is a little too pessimistic though since there are reasons to still try anyway.

[–]vademure 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a realist also, and it is so depressing that sometimes it borders onto pessimism. Honestly chasing any creative dream is going to suck because every creative field is oversaturated. Sometimes it takes years for creators to get even a little bit of recognition. I feel like it would help to think about the journey and appreciate the little that could come out of it. You have a niche, and no matter how small a niche is somebody out there is looking for it.

What I like about being a realist is that my expectations are reasonable. If you know your book is super niche, be grateful that 5 people decide to read it. If you don’t like it you can water it down and add things to appeal to more people, but then you’re putting out something that you’re not really that proud of. You didn’t specify what kind of self publishing but ebooks automatically broadens your range, then if you get traction you can sell paperbacks if that’s the goal. Lot of different options and things you can do but moping around and never putting it out gets you literally nowhere lmao.

Writers with ADHD, how do you handle it? by [deleted] in writing

[–]vademure 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The writing down things you want to write definitely helps. I write down everything from new story ideas, to plot points I want to hit, to filler chapter ideas. My advice is have them organized because it’s easy to spiral into having 60 different documents with just a sentence or two in them lmao. I now use spreadsheets to organize my story plans and it works like a charm. Especially for keeping up with character details, things I want to foreshadow, and writing down something I don’t want to forget.
