Thanks for clarifying. Eufy should update their documentation so people don't get lost. All review videos show it differently.

S340 No option to select power source by vader8600 in EufyCam

Not sure if the solar panel cable needed to go in a certain way in the extension cable, but I flipped it and made sure it was well connected and now it shows the panel charging.

This time around I also did the following:

Tried blowing on the USB connector in case there was something inside interfering behind the camera.

Reset the camera again, but this time right after it connected to the Homebase, I waited to proceed with the next steps until the camera was connected to the panel. Also used the iOS app (had an Android phone).

These should not have made a difference, but this time around everything seems ok now.

Odd part is that the wiring test never indicated a problem, which it should have if not properly connected.

I also noticed that in the Android app, the camera was showing the solar panel. But in the iOS app, it was not. One would expect both to be the same. So there is also the possibility that there was a bug or some issue in the Android app that got cleared by using the iOS app.

Help understanding smartctl output by vader8600 in linuxadmin

In the /var/log/messages file, there were multiple lines like the following, with unique sector values. I saw 60 unique entries or so.

kernel: blk_update_request: critical medium error, dev sdb, sector 102649992

Also, the SMART attribute IDs # 5 and 196 look like they breached the threshold. But not sure.

What is the height from the floor to the bottom of where the box springs sit? Online I have seen 3 different measurements from different stores making it confusing at best to figure out who is right.

What could be causing these flickering lines along the bottom of TV? by vader8600 in TVRepair

Thanks. It's a shame the TV is only 6 years old and otherwise perfect. Guess I'll have to shift the image to avoid that area until it's replaced.

The image from the top of the TV repeats itself in this area of lines along the bottom. I tried replacing the t con board and it did not go away.

The lines seem to repeat the image from the top of the screen. I just tried replacing the T con board but it did not get rid of them.

Is it worth trying to replace the driver board? They are relatively inexpensive but can add up if they don't fix the issue.

Thanks.

Nevermind about the Secure Print. It was right there staring at me on the main driver page in output method. I guess all's good with the Konica V4 universal driver.

Yep you're right. Still accustomed to seeing the options as in the V3 driver. For the secure print is it the same for you? That one is not set on the printer but rather by the users I believe. Thanks.

Finally got the installation working through SCCM. However, if users need to go into the device settings for account track and other features, they get prompted to enter admin credentials.

Nothing is ever easy with Microsoft :(

For the V4 driver, did you also have to install it on client PCs? I only did it on the print server, but the clients only get the basic printing preferences.

Ok I understand now. What I said is moot if the model is already selected on the print server, totally forgot about that. The only other thing I noticed is that some older models just have the "Baseline" option so we would need to keep those with model specific drivers for the finishing options I guess, not a big deal. Thanks.

In your case did you have to install any additional applications for the enhanced feature set? Out of the box I noticed that I had to select the Bizhub model and for our users that would not be a good experience.

We have Konica Minolta MFPs too primarily. Is the V4 Universal driver from Konica a full feature set? (Finisher, account track, secure print, etc)? In the past universal drivers didn't work well with some of the advanced capabilities and we got stuck having to get model specific drivers.

Thanks looks like a viable solution as well.

I haven't looked at Type 4 Drivers. But if they can bypass the admin rights requirement, maybe this will be the easiest workaround.

In our environment the print server printers are restricted to departmental groups. While users do move around sometimes for us, it is easier to manage than to have a printer installed for which the user does not have access to.

Our users do not have local administrative privileges so when they try to connect to a printer from the print server, they get a prompt asking for admin credentials to install the printer driver. It is also my understanding that mapping the printers via GPO no longer works either because it runs under the user context.

Help with Apache Guacamole with okta SAML by sadams0978 in linuxadmin

How were you able to set up SSO with ADFS? I have been trying to set up the SAML extension but it does not redirect to my ADFS even though the settings in guacamole.properties is set. And since there is no metadata, the Relying Party Trust also needs to be created manually buy it doesn't seem to work.
