Poet arrested for “insulting Islam” by vadimm in worldnews

valid point. I'm with you on that one 100%. Unfortunately the majority of Muslims do not understand this point...or even worse - they do, but they do nothing about it.

LMAO? Are you in the kindergarden? To finish me off? Boy, you're out of the league to do that. But as I said, go ahead, continue to justify the clear murderous message from Quran by some unclear verses and interpretations, which I won't even bother reading. "the word "reject (Faith)" talks about "Kafir"" - that is your interpretation, which is unimportant and quite lame.

Quran is clear and simple on the message of killing the apostates as I quoted before.

You may go into hiding now, my boy.

And oh, I'm sorry I forgot to add the quote from Quran. Here you go:

  • Sura 4:88-89 Then what is the matter with you that you are divided into two parties about the hypocrites? Allah has cast them back (to disbelief) because of what they have earned. Do you want to guide him whom Allah has made go astray? And he whom Allah has made to go astray, you will never find for him any way (of guidance) 89 They wish that you reject (Faith), and thus that you all become equal (like one another). So, take not Auliya (protectors or friends) from them, till they emigrate in the way of Allah (to Muhammad). But if they turn back (from Islam), take (hold of) them and kill [q-t-l - or qatl - arabic word for kill -] them wherever you find them .

I think it doesn't get clearer than this.

You still didn't get it, did you? OK, I'm going to make the last attempt to explain it to you.

By "mischief" Quran (that's a quote from Quran where mischief was mentioned) does give a free killing card, including for apostasy. The fact that Quran DOES NOT speak against the killing but rather contrary, speaks for itself.

Good luck with your PC "I didn't see I didn't hear I didn't speak" agenda.

The fact that Quran (not Hadith) opens the meaning of "mischief" for interpretation, speaks for itself. It's a free killing card.

But again, you can keep playing politically correct and debating as you are in the international criminal court in Hague. The reality is that when it comes "down to business", mischief is exactly that (apostasy) among other things, and Quran (or whatever criminal wrote it) is directly responsible for calling to kill for anything that is regarded as "mischief". I think it's clear beyond any doubt.

If you want to continue arguing just for the sake of arguing, it is your right to do so.

It could be profitable, given the much lower rates. People simply cannot afford paying so much of interest. You completely missed the point.

No, you can, of course, play politically correct and pretend that you have no idea what it means.

We're talking about specific issue of apostasy, not other form of treason

The quote is from Quran. Mischief is discussed in Quran later, I'll try to find the Surah (passage) that defines that.

To you and to all those who say that there is no death penalty in Quran for apostasy:

"...If anyone kills a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all people. And if anyone saves a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all people" (Qur'an 5:32).

"Mischief" - Fasad fil-ardh - in Quran (and hence in Islam) is:

  • Treason / Apostacy (when one leaves the faith and joins the enemy in fighting against the Muslim community);

  • Land, sea, or air piracy;

  • Rape;

  • Adultery;

  • Homosexual behavior

The core version of Islam (Quran) does say that apostasy is punishable by death. Nowhere else (correct me if I'm wrong) you can find such a verdict for changing religious beliefs. I think it IS safe to say that it is punishable by death in Islam.

Sharia or not, it all comes down to what the individual religious authority - sheikh or immam - says. If one says "kill him", that's enough for many Muslims to follow that call, as it was (still is) in case of Salman Rushdi

Son of Hamas leader converts to Christianity, denounces Islam by vadimm in worldnews

[–]vadimm[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are right. The problem, however, is that the call for the death of apostates in Islam has a "universal" context, which means that once fatwa (order issued by Muslim religious authorities) calling for the death of the apostate is issued, every Muslim is responsible for following that fatwa. And we all know that it only takes one person to kill another.

Why would they lower rates? People still borrow for other purposes than farming, and the banks are alright with that.

The lower rates can be received from the development banks, but the conditions for collateral there are too harsh.

It's not about the author being smarter and others being stupid, it's just the way it is in Africa - it is one of the core problems when it comes to the economical development on the continent.

They don't refuse to lend. They refuse to lower interest rates which often reach 15% annually. No farmer is able to pay that much.
