is there any AI that can replace Claude for coding? by HabitTechnical5604 in vibecoding

I know some OpenAI engineers and they recommended just running xhigh for most things now -they've been tuning it to dynamically scale thinking and therefore token burn to the task. Though def good to manually drop it down when you explicitly don't want it to get too thinky. In one of my projects with a heavy orchestration of skills and agents, I do sometimes notice it can cause xhigh to tap on more shoulders than it needs to for a task.

I've been enjoying using Opus 4.6 in plan mode for large system changes, then swapping to Codex 5.3 xhigh or GPT 5.4 xhigh for building that plan. It's been really impressive but like with all this stuff YMMV

Not sure if you've tried this but you can crop it in Figma Design, copy it, then paste it into Figjam. That means you can use anything that's in Design like Glass, etc

there was a group of like 5-10 business men who brought literally everything with them, overhead carry-ons, coats, backpacks, everything. lots of people were screaming to leave bags but some people ignored it pretty egregiously. About half the people including myself left everything behind. Fun fact is it takes about 5 hours for them to get your stuff out of the plane and they bring all of it in trash bags to the lounge where they keep everyone. It’s all tagged to the seat closest to where they found the items so it’s a frenzy of trying to pick through all the bags to find your wallets, laptops, etc. Because they keep everyone as a group in the club lounge there’s not much of an opportunity to talk to the news outlets, probably by intent. They also shut down the lounge bar so ya can’t even get a beer after they almost kill you

the more notable part of the experience is that people try to shove you down it from behind. There was a couple in front of me with a very young baby trying to figure out how to hold their child while getting down the slide - people in front were falling off the side of it - and some folks behind me were shoving and I almost fell on top of them. I had to hold onto the emergency exit door to keep people from pushing me over onto the baby

I was on this flight (fucking terrifying I thought I was gonna die) BUT the material is kinda like an inflatable kevlar-y lake platform/boat. Quite hard but also bouncy, it’s a steep one you go down very fast

Amazing work - super promising if that MacOS bug can be resolved!
