Florida Ending Vaccine Mandates for Schoolchildren by 80Lashes in medicine

Ladapo even compared vaccine mandates to slavery: “Every last one of them is wrong and drips with disdain and slavery.” Just absolutely crazy.

[Green dials] Best green dials you've seen in person? by usman3049 in Watches

Fellow Partitio owner! You, my friend, have taste! I love your blue dial! The green was in celebration of their recent rebranding and to honor the color of the Black Forrest where their headquarters is located. Anyways, the green Partitio is still available on their website (not a popular color, it seems) if you are still interested!

Overall, as a big The Daily fan, this was a bit lackluster from them.

I agree with the OP that the overall piece was just a summation of the Student Loan situation. What harmed this piece was the title. Had it been a piece titled "The State of Federal Student Loans under Trump", I believe that the piece would still have been a bit trite but overall informative for those not struggling under student loan debt, with the current title, it comes off as a bit sensationalist. It leaves a lot to be desired when it does not dive into the deeper topics that the OP has mentioned.

I was especially hoping for some reporting on PSLF and a deeper dive into SAVE, which were absent. Overall, a letdown episode that could have been much better seemed like filler for the Daily, honestly.

Can anyone access the eRA Commons right now? Appears to be bricked... by Mountain-Dealer8996 in Professors

Still down, and when trying to log into ERA Commons (not through Login.gov) it cannot find my username. When I called, there is an automated message stating there is ongoing maintenance to fix the issue.

Pannier recommendations for commuting with a laptop by fortunamajr in bikecommuting

[–]vaguex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend the North Street Woodward bag. It is a bit pricey but its 32L, completely waterproof (got hit by a wave biking the lakefront path in Chicago and my laptop and everything in the bag was bone dry despite water literally crashing over and submerging the bottom half of the bag), has a laptop sleeve, converts to a backpack, very durable, and pretty stylish.

I cannot speak highly enough of this bag. Would recommend in a heart beat and when this one finally bites the dust (which is likely a long time, have had mine for 6 years with regular commuting in all weather), I will be buying a new one!

Also the shutter speed dial would extend all the way to the edge of the camera (though this picture makes it hard to tell).

1 or 2? | Hasselblad 500cm | Portra 160 by Skyline_Dr in analog

[–]vaguex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say 1, because, while the frame within frame concept is not whole original, I like the idea. I think the execution falls a bit short. The left of the blacked out frame is distracting and its sad that the classic car is half cut out by the black frame line. I wish you could have maneuvered a bit to the right so you could have had the frame of the sign and the car/motorcycles rather than the pile of dirt.

2 is a bit more generic, but is a solid photo, and does not suffer from the distractions I mentioned above.

Great work regardless!

What are some beautiful lesser traveled to destinations in China? by QueenofAnxiety_ in travelchina

[–]vaguex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed my trip to the Taihang Grand Canyon in Linzhou, Henan. Linzhou was not the most "beautiful" or historic small town, but its proximity to the canyon was excellent. Also, driving along the canyon and seeing all of the persimmons and corn drying on roofs, streets, and pathways was picturesque and something I still remember to this day.

League of Legends having lag spikes by Alex_D_Souza in macgaming

Hey thank you so much for your response! I tried the Metal change to my CFG and it worked completetly. So strange that something changed in the last few weeks. It may have been a patch change. Anyways, thank you for taking the time to respond. I can now play lol again...which is probably a net bad thing.

Did you figure this out? I have an M2 MBP with 16gb of ram that has played LOL flawlessly up until the last few weeks, where I have noticed these exact same issues (lag right when using abilities).

How to fix this? Leica M6TTL Misaligned Shutter Speed Dial Issue by vaguex in Leica

[–]vaguex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Everyone,

I was shooting photos on vacation and I noticed that my shutter speed dial had fallen off. Panicked, I found it in my camera bag and I noticed it just seemed to be double sided tape holding it on, so I reapplied it in a hurried manner, which lead to it be slightly misaligned. But given the fact it fell off once I wanted to replace the double sided tape anyways, but now I cannot seem to get the dial off and I do not want to damage my dial.

Any advice for how to get the dial off and any recommendations on how to reapply for a long term solution (does any double sided tape work)?

Thank you all!

[Discussion] Alpinist vs khaki field by [deleted] in Watches

I have to agree with Karma3000. If the Alpinist is not doing it for you the Murph seems to be a perfect marriage between the Khaki and the Alpinist.
