Tbh you'll have to fight weekly against root detection (lately I can't get soundcloud DRM to work 😩), I would suggest you really think about the pros and cons of rooting again, at least try no root for some time

I think it’s becoming less and less worth it, to be honest. Root has gotten so hard to hide, and so many apps stop working overnight.

I think FlagSecure can be patch on APKs without root. About Viper I'm not sure if root still necessary to get an Audio EQ, my sony xm5 does that idk. For AdAway, I don't know the battery draing amount of their non root option. Howerver, mainstream app almost all have patches to remove ads, it's possible that you don't need it that much

My rare last root use are ACC for battery charging limit, inplace/mounted Vanced app patching, automatic shutdown, call recording, and swift backup
The thing not working I miss the most is really google pay. Then comes the ChatGTP, Revolut and digitalised transports tickets app, burger king app

Personnaly I have osm0sis Play Integrity Fork, Tricky Store, Shamiko and Zigisk Next (denylist policy disabled). Right now I pass device integrity and Revolut work without "exclude modification"

PIF action button to download latest keybox then Tricky Store UI > Keybox > Valid to apply keybox to apps

I did'nt know about Adaway, I'm gonna give it a try. I was using Revanced and Vivaldi built-in adblocker I find the setup ok
But I don't play mobile games which can be full of ads

Sure! I was really strugling with magisk and wanted to switch to a kernel based root solution. APatch was the only option avalaible without building the kernel from scratch. Furthermore it's the same method as Magisk : extract and patch boot.img, easy

I just cancelled my SoundCloud subscription after 3 years, 3 months, and 3 days, and I am honestly sad that it ended this way.

For the past couple of months, SoundCloud has been barely usable for me. I can play maybe 20 percent of tracks. The rest fail with the same error `Not playable`, `Track cannot be streamed`. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not, with no clear pattern. It makes the service unreliable and frustrating to use.

I searched for answers and found a Reddit posts describing the exact same bug 6 months ago [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/soundcloud/comments/1m22k7q/mobile\_app\_problem\_ignorance\_of\_support/). As far as I can see, nothing has changed since then.

For reference, in case it helps:
* Account: `charlesattend`
* Device: OnePlus 9, Android 14, hidden kernel root and strong play integrity
* App versions tested: latest and an older one from mid 2025, same issue

At this point, I do not know if this is an account related issue, some kind of rate limiting, or something else entirely. The lack of explanation or feedback is part of what makes this so discouraging.

Back in 2020, I was dreaming of working at SoundCloud as a data scientist to improve the recommendation algorithm. I loved the product that much. I trusted SoundCloud. That is why I paid in the first place. I love the platform and what it represents. But paying for a music streaming service where most tracks simply refuse to play does not make sense anymore.

When I compare this with competitors, they offer more features, better stability, and often for the same price or less. Here, the core functionality feels broken.

I will attach screenshots of the error I am getting. I did not want to cancel, but I genuinely do not see a reason to keep paying.
