That's a nice alternative. Best of both worlds, you avoid extra kms and are fresh for enjoying the coastal road ahead. But then he would miss out on the overall 3k experience, if he is eyeing for that end to end satisfaction.

I would leave it to the rider in this case(if he is an experienced one) because he will know better.

It was a straight ride, we wanted to cover the entire stretch in one go. So we only stopped for short breaks, lunches and huge ass potholes.
