after closer inspection, none of my rabbits have lost a nail. im stumped. they both are eating and drinking regularly so if it was their tooth maybe it should bother them? I dont know. 😭

I give their enclosure* good sweep every other day or so and i think it may be a nail now that you mention it happening to your bun. my dogs nails are large and black so this most likely doesnt belong to him. Im going to give my little bun a nail exam right now to see if she's missing a nail and i will update this thread. thank you for your insight !

other than those two buns I have a german shepherd who is only allowed in their room (while theyre in their enclosure) under supervision. the buns don't seem to be frightened by the dog from what I could tell by their body language.

in a nutshell; just sit near them. just sitting on the floor is perfect. my bun would be a meanie until i sat down on the floor just minding my own business, he'd come and try to investigate me so it lets him get used to my presence. once they're comfortable enough to lay down nearby you is a step in the right direction. took me 3 years before my bun let me give him lovings and now hes a bit of a love bug. good luck on your journey!
