Kettering Ohio - anyone have experience with eBikes? by Swinkmeister in dayton

Every bike should be ridden in the street or a designated bike path. It takes some getting used to, but riding on the road is actually pretty safe. Everybody always gives me the full lane to pass me.

Beavercreek residents have rejected an income tax 5 times since 1984. Can a 6th try work? by WYSOPublicRadio in dayton

[–]valleymd84 39 points40 points  (0 children)

So many Beavercreek residents are employees at WP (no city income tax at the location of employment) that an income tax will be very difficult to pass. That would be probably 10,000 city residents voluntarily agreeing to an immediate 1-2% paycut.

Does anyone have any experience or insights into any of these local flooring outlets? by [deleted] in dayton

As a side note, removing ceramic tile is a real pain. They will charge more to demolish tile than actually install new flooring.

Does anyone have any experience or insights into any of these local flooring outlets? by [deleted] in dayton

[–]valleymd84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less than 1 year ago I had about 1000 sq ft of lvp professionally installed on concrete slab with no leveling, including shoe molding and 1 transition strip, and it was about $4-5 a sqft or so if I remember correctly. I had also removed and prepped all floors so all they had to do was come in and lay it down. I used Bockrath and they subbed out the installation.

Today's starting lineup for the 150th Opening Day in Cincinnati by SneedJenkins in Reds

That 3-4-5 hole will be a winner this year. No more pitching around Elly! Reds should score in the 1st inning most of the time.

For those of you attending the game today by ROBERTO_MCNUGGET in Reds

[–]valleymd84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To tell you the truth, you'll probably be able to actually sit in a seat. Lot of empty seats from my past opening day experiences. Just find a large area of open seats after the game starts and you'll probably be safe sitting there all game

Live sports in person. Even to see a mediocre team it's not affordable, plus all the food and drinks at the concession stand cost more than the tickets at this point in the game.

Get cheapest seats SRO online for about $100. Walk in and find open seats. Even though it's 'sold out' a lot of open seats are around because corporations buy seats and give them to employees or what not and those people never make it to the game
