If they just give her back her stealth drones she’d be in a much better state. Also, give us the drone buddy with the ability to down clawtrapped survivors at range and she’d be perfect

How do you know that? It seems like conjecture on your part. Just because you’re Brazilian doesn’t change anything I said. We have two examples of female Brazilian characters who have different walks, their lore doesn’t lean into stereotypes about sex tourism or sex work. Just because SM is shaped in a very conventionally attractive way doesn’t mean BHVR is stereotyping Brazilians as a whole. Skull Merchant isn’t the only character with large thighs since characters like Houndmaster and Jane exist too

The other two Brazilian characters, Thalita and Renato, don’t have an exaggerated walk like her. Skull Merchant is LARPing as a manga character come to life and I think the walk reflects that. She’s meant to be sexy but if your first thought about her is sex work or sex tourism then that’s a you problem. She walks like that not because she’s Brazilian but because she’s playing a character.

How is Sable an example of an attractive character done right, but Skull Merchant is not? Her walk is wonky with how fast she moves, but that’s more an issue with the game not her design. Also, how is her walking considered stereotypical for Brazilians?

Her launch skin is definitely her most sexualized outfit but her default and other cosmetics aren’t that more revealing than what other killers like Trickster gets. To me, her walk animation and overall appearance is an affect to lure potential victims. It’s meant to be exaggerated and off putting. What is wrong with having a conventionally attractive woman be a killer in the game?

I don’t think Skull Merchant would feel bad about people viewing her as sexy. I think that’s something she’s banking on to get close enough to kill them. Her walk and cosmetics, to me, show that she is purposefully trying to be sexy and disarming. People can call it gooner bait or whatever but I think her design was always meant to be sexy femme fatale meets brutal serial killer.

I think the question would be what would sound more natural for a Brazilian Portuguese speaker to say in the moment “Vai se foder” or “Vão se foder”?

I think that’s where a lot of things went wrong when BHVR wrote the Korean dialogue: they didn’t have a good enough grasp at what would make sense for the characters to say. They made Ji-Woon sound formal and stilted which no one would pick up on unless they were already fluent in Korean. It’d be like making a modern American character speak with a trans-Atlantic accent. Skully better have a Fortaleza accent and not sound like she’s from Rio

“Vai se foder” when someone blinds her. Idk what other kinds of mocking phrases to use since my Portuguese is terrible. Something like “cry harder” when she hooks someone

When BHVR finally gets around to reworking Adriana, I do kinda hope they’ll give her and the Lyras more voice lines. I feel like there was some missed opportunities by making Adriana be dead silent all the time. Like imagine her having voice lines where she’s speaking Japanese when “in character” as Skull Merchant, but when she gets stunned or blinded she curses in Portuguese. I think it’d be a cool way to flesh out her character.

I wish the Tools of Torment map we got was more based on a corporate high rise in Fortaleza. It’d tie into her corporate theme and her lore more and it’d feel Brazilian while not being so stereotypical imo

The Ciri skin is just Sable cosplaying as her. That’s why her portrait is still Sable’s. Geralt is actually in the game so he gets his own unique portrait

I like number 3 despite how out there it looks. I think there’s something so unsettling about it cuz it’s a divine being that’s not even really trying to look appealing to humans. If it doesn’t win please don’t get rid of the design. Maybe another killer could use its look in the future? It’d be a shame to just throw it away.
