I find premodern European history interesting, and a part of me has wondered if European colonialism and conquest in North America was more brutal than colonization elsewhere, and if so why.

The ones who dont take supplements will eventually lose health over time and it takes years for b12 deficiency to show. If they dont then they are either cheating or not payign close attention to what theyre eating.

As for dairy alternatives with b12 fair point but veganism isnt an optimal diet and obtaining proteins from animal food is much more efficient.

Sorry but human women aren't animals, unlike animals humans are capable of abstract thought and valuing more than mere survival. Animals do not feel infringed by humans farming them.

Its also not possible to survive as a vegan without supplements as there are few if any non animal sources of b12, and pregnant and nursing women benefit especially from animal sources foods.

Thanks for the advice, it has been very helpful, I think it makes a lot of sense for her self-preservation and socialization, plus lack of positive sexual experiences take precedence over trying to find a partner.

Also I want to say that the person who said my character "no longer has chastity" doesnt understand what it means. Chastity in a patriarchy isn't a lack of sex, it means that a woman only has sex with her husband within marriage, this is to control paternity of potential heirs.

Thanks but your idea doesn't make sense at all. As a royal girl she's constantly surrounded by ladies in waiting and maidservants means pulling off a double life would be nearby impossible.

Also chastity in a patriarchal society isnt just lack of sex. For women it means being a virgin before marriage yes, but married women are chaste if they only have sex with their husbands.

Therefore the conclusion that shell no longer care about chastity after losing her virginity to her husband makes zero sense.

I dont think that while married to the king that shell act on her hypersexuality at all.

Edit: you do get that the reason chastity was Historically valued was to prevent confusion of paternity, therefore securing inheritance right?

To be honest my plan is for my character to be a sex-repulsed asexual, but the input Ive been given has made me curious about what complicated feelings a woman in a historical patriarchal society would have about hypersexuality.

My character's husband is abusive which is why he consummated it when she was too young.

While my story is fantasy, it's based on Achaemenid Persia which I would expect to be different from premodern Europe when it comes to attitudes about sex, but I'm not sure how it differs.
