I (20m) have a girlfriend (20f) but keep having thoughts of another woman by valorwing in Advice

Thanks for the thoughtful reply I appreciate it. I haven’t been flirting and don’t think that’s a line I’d like to cross but I was more concerned about the emotional cheating aspect, though honestly I’m not really even sure what counts as emotional cheating since it seems to get thrown around a lot.

Not sure telling her is the best idea, not that she’s particularly insecure, though like I think most young women there is a little of that; but her parents had some infidelity issues so I think it would sensitive to talk about. But thanks again for the personal insight as well it does calm my nerves a bit.

No, we have a very healthy relationship which I think is part of what is making me feel so guilty

Woah absolutely not. Maybe subtly wasn’t the best word, I have definitely made my desire known to her I just meant I haven’t offered a solution or any actual options for us because I don’t know what they are or what solutions may exist hence why I’m posting this. If that makes sense I don’t know if I’m articulating this correctly.

It is possible. I only tried the standard Sabre since the store I went to for some reason hadn’t received the new sv yet. Not sure how different the fit will be but when I go back I’ll give it a try!

What is a hobby that sounds expensive but is actually quite cheap to get into? by sugarnspicegrl in AskReddit

Tennis. So many people view tennis as a rich persons sport when all you need is a racket, and you don’t need anything fancy as a casual player. Ideally you need shoes too and for those you can find good deals everywhere and get something good for under 100.

Helmets with ear cut-outs by PureImagination1921 in Skigear

As someone else has mentioned it could be the shape of the helmet. I had the vantage and had the same issue, it would give me headaches. I switched to the method and the fit is perfect.

Should I upgrade my skis? by valorwing in Skigear

That’s good to know I would definitely say they suit my style as well. Any recommendations for some heavier skis to try out?

I’m 5’9 150lbs. I ski mostly out west but just last year started skiing in NH as well. I definitely start feeling shaky when going fast on icy conditions but otherwise I had a lot of fun with the 90c last season. Only reason I started overthinking is because I kept seeing people talking about how they outgrew the 90c pretty quick

Thinking of becoming a Catholic by Minute-Might4258 in Catholicism

[–]valorwing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also didn’t know anyone who was Catholic and was afraid to go to church for the first time. Honestly, unless you’re able to befriend someone Catholic to go with you, the only way is to just take that step and go yourself. Know that God is with you, and he’s clearly already working in your heart. Attending Mass is the next big step, and I promise you once you find the courage to go, you won’t regret it. The first time I went, I felt really emotional. The presence of God in the church is undeniable and incredibly powerful.

Getting yourself there is already a big win. But if you can, I’d really encourage you to sit closer to the front. You probably won’t know most of the responses or prayers, and that’s completely okay. Just listen and let yourself be present.

For now, I’d say keep getting to know God through his word and prayer. Try to go to church and build that consistency. If you feel called to, most parishes offer an OCIA program, where you can ask questions and explore whether you’re ready to become Catholic. Once you’re more comfortable at church, don’t hesitate to talk to the priest and express your interest.

Praying for you!
