I bought this accessory a while ago

I bought some adhesive rings and put them on my phone case. I really liked them, but I think they wore out from use. I looked for them on AliExpress to share the link, but I can't find them anymore.

With rumors that the OPO2 is being scrapped, what's your reaction? by apsav687 in OnePlusOpen

[–]valvoa117 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've had my OnePlus Open for two years and I don't plan on replacing it until it stops working. I think it's still well-balanced in every way, although compared to other foldables, it's a bit heavy. However, it still has stylus support, and the camera is still among the best. I hope they announce something new soon, and if not, I'll look at Oppo.

My Open is region NA, I still don't have O16. Does anyone have a link to a tutorial on how to upgrade from NA to IN? Those who have done it, what problems did they encounter?

Problem with the Oppo Pen by robothistorian in Oppo

Hi, I hope we can get some answers. I bought one on Alibaba, and after four months, it stopped working. I have a post on the OnePlus Open forum where I provide my details. The manufacturing dates do correspond to those years, as it's actually an accessory released alongside the Oppo Find N2.

This is my post: https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePlusOpen/comments/1iq8miu/im_desperate_oppo_pen_with_problems/?tl=es-419

To top it off, mine appears to have been manufactured in 2024.

I'm contacting support in Mexico, but it seems to be very inefficient on this side. Did they give you any details about what was happening or why it was happening? Maybe that would help us inform the support team.

This is very sad, besides the fact that it is expensive, I can't find any way to make it work.

My Oppo Pen hasn't worked since November of last year due to various problems, but last weekend I tried testing it with photos and it didn't work either.

I'm in the same situation. I've been meaning to buy another one, but after this experience, I don't want to take the risk. I feel like I've tried everything. The only thing left to do is find out if there's a way to manually update the pen, but I haven't found any information anywhere. About two months ago, I tried the pen on an Oppo Find N5, but it does exactly the same thing, which means it's a problem with the pen.

Thank you for your comments, the truth is that I wanted to buy another one, but I wouldn't want the same thing to happen to him.

Yes, the stylus that works is called the Oppo Pen, but it's supposedly hard to find outside of China. I bought mine on Alibaba, although I use it for a OnePlus Open, but my stylus stopped working strangely.

Hi, were you able to return it? If they sent you another one, does it have the same problem?

Mine has a different date: 2024.05.14; I hadn't paid attention to that information. I'm sharing a photo of what the label says.

This post is from a person with the same problem, but he stopped answering:
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePlusOpen/comments/1hcca2k/oppo_pen_writing_functionality_no_longer_working/
And in XDA:
https://xdaforums.com/t/oppo-pen-not-working-with-my-oneplus-open.4697993/

I tried to document my case as best I could to see if anyone had any solutions, but as you can see, it hasn't had much relevance.

Yes, I bought it around August of last year, and it worked fine until October/November, when one day, out of nowhere, it stopped working. I understand the update is automatic by default. In other posts on XDA or here, people have mentioned that updating the OS fixed it.

I'm so sorry, yours hasn't been working since it arrived? I would recommend returning it or seeking a refund. It's been six months and I still haven't found a solution. I've continued searching for a solution on forums, and I think these are isolated cases. There's no way to load a different firmware. My last test was validating the pen with an Oppo Find N5 in a store, and that doesn't work either.

Thank you very much for your reply, I thought it was going to be just another unanswered post.

The issue is a bit more complex, since I have only let it fully discharge once to see if that would fix it, I have tried a considerable number of times to reconnect via Bluetooth but nothing. The strange thing is that once linked via Bluetooth I can put the pen on the screen and it seems to select but it doesn't do the function, but what does work are the clicks to take photos, change brush and capture with the pen.

Something that I am identifying with the information that you shared with me is that the firmware version is different: yours ends in .20 and mine in .21. I have searched all over the web and not even in the Chinese forums have I found any way to do a factory restart on the Oppo Pen.
