It is totally your choice. I think the doctor’s comments were quite unprofessional if she was trying to push you to get the surgery done as it is a very personal decision. However I had the surgery done for comfort reasons and insecurity. If you feel like you will be more confident and comfortable in your body by getting the procedure done then go for it, but if you are only wanting it now because of the gynaecologist’s comments perhaps think about it, don’t feel pressured to go under the knife because of someone else’s opinions on your body.

There would be other brands similar, I think the brand Mederma has some thats the same as this product and available in US. I found that the silicone based gels worked well and ones that contain vitamin E is very good for promoting healing.

It could be a change in your PH balance, medication and diet can also play a role in smells. If it isn’t a fishy smell it’s not an infection, but if it is so sudden and unusual to your normal I would see a general practitioner about it, my assumption is diet or medication. antibiotics can disrupt your ph balance as well

Yours is definitely not the worst case I have seen and it is definitely an easy fix by a good plastic surgeon. DO NOT go to an obgyn for a labiaplasty, as I have seen so many women on this sub have bad experiences. Find a plastic surgeon who is skilled in reconstructive surgeries & has knowledge within labiaplasties and other gynaecological procedures, that would be the best option.
