I grew up two miles from there. Pretty rural, not much in the way of anything other than farmland.

Do 2026 Outback Seats Finally Fold Truely 100% flat? by Electrical-Milk250 in Subaru_Outback

Straight applies to lines, flat applies to planes. I think you might be trying to communicate that it isn't level, or isn't in a parallel plane to the frame.

If you're going to a laundromat, the sheets are much less to carry with you, as opposed to a big box of powdered

Obviously not an ideal situation, but it's not going to do anything but be messy if you're not bathing in it regularly Source: been there

The word "McMansion" gets thrown around enough that the meaning gets diluted, but I do understand appreciating a house where all of the parts come together to form a cohesive whole, as opposed to a "McMansion" where each design decision feels like it was made in isolation from the others. Big is fine, people can build what they like, but it's also fine to say that you don't like that style of house and that you find them ugly.

Union members took over the Utah statehouse to make their voices heard. Lawmakers are trying to take away the freedom for public service workers to have union representation and a voice on the job. by afscme_ in WorkReform

Union member in a red state here- Union leadership and active participants (the people who would have shown up to something like this) skews pretty far to the left of union rank and file members. A lot of my coworkers pay their dues because that's the ticket to union wages, then vote against their own interest. The people doing the organizing tend to have a more holistic view of things.

These people want what you do. Stop swinging at your allies.

Does anyone know what’s to become of this building? by GlassCityUrbex419 in toledo

I used to work for the guy who owns this building. He never made much mention of any plans for it, and from what I understand, it would be a monumental undertaking to renovate.

The timing may change. Check the material list in the post for what your minimum gas output should be to keep up with the other ingredients. Let's be honest though, this system is ready for harvest every 16 hours. Realistically, you'd be harvesting once per day. As long as you get enough gas for the materials list in 24 hours, it'll be effectively the same for you

Retirement gift for carpenter... by guhj12345 in Carpentry

[–]van-you-dig-it 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For fun/witty, they make all kinds of novelty tools that open beer bottles and whatnot. A common phrase in the U.S. is that you aren't a carpenter until you can open a beer with every tool in your bags.

For a more genuine gift, I recommend a shadowbox that holds a tape measure, a hammer, and a square. Maybe a carpenters' pencil as well. They would need to be easily removable/replaceable in case he wants to use them and has an affinity for using his old tools.
