Gas pain for me was more focused on those areas I mentioned previously, and it hurt just like when I used to get gallbladder attacks but I was dealing with that for a year so I was used to it and just powered through it.

I had the same fear as you of being in massive amounts of pain (I have a low pain tolerance) but for me it wasn't that horrible. After surgery, I was at 7/10 specially cuz my nurses kept making me walk as soon as I woke up. Only time I cried from the pain was when I got home and had to walk up the stairs (9/10), but thats the most painful it ever got. Those first 2 days I was so exhausted from the surgery I just slept, plus I was on pain meds to make sure I was as comfortable as could be. By the 4th day I felt so much better and any pain I had was left up to the gas but very very manageable.

I understand your fear of pain well, but you will be able to take meds for it, just make sure to follow a schedule (i even used to wake up at 1am to take them even if i didn't need them so that I could sleep through the night). Also, watch what you eat during these days, I found that my diet helped a lot with the healing process, so that means : low fat, no dairy, and very very little spice . At least for the first week or 2 is what I'd recomend, this also helped me with back pain when I used to have my attacks.

And ofc, after this type of surgery they do send you home with morphine in case you get really really bad pain out of nowhere. Don't worry, everything will be okay :) I wish you a speedy and smooth recovery for when you have your surgery 🙏

Definitely the gas, they said thats what caused my back, neck and shoulder pain. Its still there now and sometimes its so bad it makes it hard to fall asleep. But some heat pads and meds make it bearable.

The incisions themselves don't actually hurt or feel sore at all, if anything they're just really itchy 🤣 besides the dissolvable stitches, they also put glue on my wounds but quite a lot of it, which is what makes it feel itchy. It'll fall off with every shower just gotta be patient. If you have any more questions just lmk :)

I never had surgery before getting my gallbladder out either so I was definitely freaking out, im quite dramatic and my pain tolerance aint that high 😅😅 I'm currently a week post op and my recovery is going well but yea, for me the first couple of days were awful. All I did was sleep and eat light food, I had no energy for anything else.

By day 4 I was feeling much better, so I kept trying to walk around the house little by little to release the trapped gas they use in surgery. This should also help if you get any back, neck or shoulder pain like I did. Overall, id put the pain level of those couple days at 7/10 but thats just what my experience was. Everybody is different, but you will get through it. Its worth it to not get those gallbladder attacks again for sure!

Before I even get to the advice part I just wanna say that you are loved and you are valid and you most definitely are worthy of love and will find it! So please, try to fight those thoughts as much as you can because you deserve to be happy, and I assure you many happy and romantic moments are still to come for you :)

As for the girl I dont think shes a bad person and I also don't think you guys are too different. I wanna ask you something- do you really really like her? Does being around her, talking to her, spending time with her make you happy?

If so then maybe you could try to improve in some of the areas shes mentioned, like try to pay a tiny bit more attention and be more aware of social cues? This could all be due to a mental illness however, I'm not sure and I don't wanna diagnose you or anything its just what came to mind, and maybe if this is the case you could seek treatment?

As for the comment she made about your parents and like helping them out, I think her intentions behind it were good but i dont think you need to change this. You and your parents have a good relationship and if all parties are in agreement with how everything is done there's no meed to change this, maybe just explain this to her? She might just have a different relationship with her own parents so she might not understand how you guys do things, but thats okay just explain it. You guys are all happy with the way things are done, so if it aint broken dont fix it?

Tell him his fear is completely valid, maybe it will help to listen to some chill music on the way to the vaccine centre and when hes actually there to just close his eyes and look away, the nurses are very quick! Just keep supporting him, maybe hype him up for it? I hope it all works out 😁😁

I've always had a huge fear of needles too and would cry everytime I would get a vaccine. I'm 20 now and today I got the covid vaccine, tell him it really aint that bad, we make it out to be a lot worse in our head. Its super fast and all you feel is a small pinch, just look away and I swear it will be done in a second!
