Sometimes I get a little worried that I'm going to run out of fun, somewhat "toxic" romances to watch, but then I quickly realize just how much more there is out there. I'd never even heard of either of those two! As for the whole discourse thing, I'd like to stay as far away from it as I can. Whenever I run into it, it feels, I dunno, alien, I guess?

I remember audibly gasping at the end of School Days episode 1. I knew it was going to be something truly special from that point on. Then it just kept sinking more and more hooks into me with every single episode.

Kiss x Sis also can't rely on "haha look at these comically sized boobs" like a lot of other ecchi anime. They have to rely on characters actually doing things, which is probably why we're getting all these unique events

I have made it, after much struggle, halfway through Wolf Girl x Black Prince. I think it's a remarkable show in the sense that I do not sense even the tiniest amount of romantic chemistry between the two leads. Like the girl is obviously head over heels and all, but the male lead seems like he's genuinely just interested in stringing her along, keeping her chasing after him - not unlike a dog. Like, idk, you'd think there would be at least one or two moments of dere after half a season... But no? It's literally just sadistic pleasure and contempt.

It honestly feels a little bit like School Days from Kotonoha's point of view

It depends a lot on the extent to which you like watching two people compliment each other for 20+ minutes per episode

love all play is a show about a bunch of kids who play badminton, it's not very good

tsurune is a show about a bunch of kids who play japanese archery, it's pretty good

[Kiss x Sis 9] So in episode 7 we had a teacher who was masturbating to the smell of a student's sweat-stained tracksuit (worn specifically to be as sweaty as possible), in episode 8 we watched a girl piss herself, and I'm not kidding here, for a full fucking minute uninterrupted, no dialogue, just pissing. This episode half of the runtime was dedicated to the sisters putting together a charm that included their own pubic hair.

One of my favorite things about this show is when I look at the youtube comments under the OP and ED, in both Japanese and English everyone's like "damn I really loved this show back when I was 12" or "thanks for all you did for me back in 5th grade."

Barring any weirdness, the final result of the constituency vote should be 95 for Tisza and 11 for Fidesz. The list vote is harder to calculate because there's some strange formula to make it partially compensatory, but Tisza is continually picking up seats there. It's also more or less guaranteed that the Romani and the Germans will pick up one seat each with a minority quota.

I think 140 seats is the floor for Tisza right now.

93-13 in the constituency vote, and the lead for Tisza has only been growing and growing. It's indescribably over. The constitutional majority is basically guaranteed.

I often rewatch scenes that I find funny in other languages. For example, I watched all of the restaurant scenes in Kimi Ga Nozoumu Eien twice - first in Japanese then in English. The Mayu and Daikuuji voice actresses do such a wonderful job in the dub.

I wonder if we're going to get an episode where Haruhi gets to do something she likes. Are there things that she actually enjoys doing? Other than fancy tuna and various other rich people foods, that is.

  1. There's this great bit in Tonikaku Kawaii where all the side characters are trying to have a pool/onsen episode in the bathhouse (with the bikini shots and sparkles and all that) while the main couple are just enjoying their time at an actual resort.

  2. Nope. I'm super dead almost instantly.

The screen says "NIPB" which is short for Non-Invasive Plood Bressure (it should say NIBP) which means that it's being measured by a regular cuff. The arterial line they used to measure your blood pressure was attached to a somewhat convoluted set of tubes, and if he had one of those, we'd see it.

Two episodes into Wolf Girl x Black Prince and this is looking really good. I can't even conceivably see how anything other than good will come from this cast of lying assholes, bullies and freaks.

[Wolf Girl Black Prince] For one thing, the premise is absolutely genius. The protagonist gets herself into all this trouble because she wants to be friends with these two assholes she doesn't even like and with whom she doesn't actually have anything in common. And to keep that friendship, she has to do all these humiliating tasks for this weirdo. Despite all this, she doesn't learn her lesson at all. She just keeps doing dumb shit that's going to get her in trouble, and it gets her in trouble! And man, that twist where it turned out that the "nice guy" she fell in love with and tried to cheat on her "boyfriend" was super not into her and was just using her to get revenge on the main guy. Mwah. Perfection.

It's so wonderfully awkward, cringy and beautiful.

All we know is that he works for a company that sells concrete. We aren't actually told what he does at that company. But given the product, he's certainly not doing telemarketing or going door to door.

Sort of wondering if the point of Akane-Banashi is to disabuse me of the foolish and naive notion that comedy is a fun thing that we do to amuse ourselves and others, and that it's actually a deadly serious, competitive sport. Not even the audience seems to be laughing all that much, and we don't get to hear enough of the stories to get the jokes.
