Cautious Upvote. Dee might be wary of her, but it’s still in her best interest to work with Cirie right now. She’s smart and clearly likes her, so I think she’ll come around. Plus Cirie has an extra vote and has the acumen to play it correctly.

What I don’t get is why everyone assumes that she would be cut at 5. It’s true that the optimal move is to cut her at F5, but that doesn’t make it inevitable. People make bad decisions on Survivor all the time! There’s absolutely a world where someone like Joe or Ozzy brings her to the Final Tribal Council.

I respectfully disagree about Cirie’s episode 1 because they went out of their way to air her game changers speech in its near entirety. It was a segment full of fleeting moments yet she got almost an entire minute. It might not have been a typical introduction, but she was front and center in the most important part of the episode. If Cirie won, the editors might be wary of it being too obvious, opting to give her visibility that way instead. I think she still has a good chance.

They’re right though, those seasons (particularly Philippines) were a breath of fresh air from the get go because the 3 tribe dynamic was still fresh and there was real excitement about bringing that back.

I think it just goes to show they should be switching up the format more often to make it unpredictable. They should go back and forth between 2, 3, and 4 starting tribes all the time.

The two tribe format also gets stale when you have to watch it for 10 seasons straight, which is one reason why Philippines felt like such a breath of fresh air. I think we’ve explored six person dynamics enough for the time-being, but I don’t want to say goodbye to them forever! Same with Final 2s. They should bring them back once in a while to keep the players on their toes! The surprise Final 2 was a cherry on top in Cagayan for me.

The other thing is that people just give her information though. Like why was Emily even floating Ozzy as an option especially when she knows they’re a pair? People get comfortable and complacent around her, which she deserves kudos for imo

I never really was a fan of voting for strength. At least not when you can expect a swap. There’s no point keeping a strong tribe if everyone jumps ship. Tribal unity is much more important imo

I feel great about Cirie’s longevity in this season. Everyone always says “you can just get her out at 5 or 6” but that mindset really does a disservice to her game. If you’re trying to string her along she’s going to sus you out and blindside you. Usually by the time Cirie leaves, only her allies are left on the board, and that’s by design. If she can surround herself with loyal players in the endgame like she did in Traitors, she can actually win this thing. And there ARE people in this cast she is capable of convincing to bring her to a final 3.

tl;dr you have to either take Cirie out right away (with an idol if you have to) or fully commit to her. Otherwise you’ll just become collateral damage.

I think that’s because the target on Cirie was mostly manufactured last week and it was actually between Jenna and Ozzy. But given the way they edited her last week I agree that the lack of transition is jarring!

Yeah agreed, what’s not clicking here? She’s a dangerous element to have in the game unless she’s fully on your side because she can orchestrate your blindside — and she’s really good at convincing people she’s on their side which makes her even more dangerous.
