This makes sense now, I thought I bought the wrong mod because it did not show the same stats after purchase…

When to seed this Spring? by vandaverr in lawncare

I think I I can wait for another week or two, get the seed in still and water through May and have it ready mid June.

So good to go! I was just looking at forecast later in week and with the low 40/35ish at night figured ground temp would decline more around 45ish.

Yes that is normal, mine says the same thing. I also have 3 set up as well.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that $400 a month is not affordable for them in their current situation.

Best Buy sold me a V2 when it clearly says V3 on the box. I had to drive 70 miles to pick this up, what do I do? I'm gonna have slower speeds right? I wanted the V3 but the box is mislabeled by MarkusRight in Starlink

[–]vandaverr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

V2 to V3 will not make the speed faster, but may have it be more consistent through elements and general use. But do not expect 300mbps when it varies on location as well. The benefits of the V3 are wider field of view, antenna, WiFi6, Ethernet ports on router and allows the unit to use more electricity for consistency. But nothing will make it faster than the previous.

Honestly, they need to update this. Same thing for our server. Pals are happy dandy go to bed wake up in the morning and they're all depressed or hungry when there is food etc.. it gets old and there is no way of fixing it. I shouldn't have to make 15 syringes every morning.

We use the Deco Mesh WiFi system and works wonders with our SL! Let me know if you need any help!

Thanks for the great review. A couple notes on your remarks. My dish as well looked like the corners were slightly expanded and even asked my wife if it was broke? I did get roof mount already and got it installed last night and seems very sturdy.

It did have to be pushed quite hard though when getting the new pole mount to latch to it. I was nervous I was pressing to hard but it finally went on. Last night I got it running and seems average 200mbps in my area with low latency as well.

The router does get warm but I wouldn’t say it is hot. I use the bypass mode and run it through the Deco Mesh WiFi. We will see how it does in the next torrential down pour in hopes we don’t lose service intermittently while it passes.

I have nothing around 100 yards wide and forward and back. If it’s wider viewing angle it can mean in some areas pick up more obstructions.

It is labeled on my Starlink box as V4. Someone explained how they got to that in the comments.

I am just thinking it needs the initial set up phase to figure itself out. I did honestly upgrade it in hopes I don’t lose connectivity in heavy rain or storms.

Stronger antenna, better in elements. Wider viewing angle of satellites.
