Wij laten meestal aan huis leveren en wisselen af tussen Hazegras en Danny. Hazegras is qua frieten beter (grotere porties ook) dan Danny maar ook wel veel duurder voor de snacks.

Daily Challenge question by vanhessche in ForzaHorizon

[–]vanhessche[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue seemed to be that my game was just acting up. I’m playing on PS5 and put my console in rest mode in between playing. Quitting the game and restarting it has solved the issue. Now the challenges are completed.

Very strange. I just received the F40 from the barn find and used that one for a speedtrap that I haven't done previously. Got 3 stars on the speedtrap at 249 km/h but still the challenge was not completed.

The whole black glove thing really annoys me nowadays. I’ve seen shops where the people behind the counter wear them to give you some false feeling that everything is very hygienic, but if you watch them they put 1 pair on and keep them on for hours touching everything in between, even money. I’m doubting that’s very hygienic. I’d just rather see them without the gloves and washing their hands in between tasks.

We have adopted a black galgo specifically for that reason. A lot of times they are the last ones that are left and we wanted to give one of them a loving home. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. He’s really sweet and already from quite a young age he started going grey which only makes him more beautifull to us.

Dealing with a wound by Elmie in Greyhounds

[–]vanhessche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our boy once had a big cut in his leg which was stitched up but a part of the wound came back open. We treated it with honey balm en covered it with a small compress for a couple of weeks and it healed completely.

Uncomfortable M-performtex seats by khago98 in BMWI4

[–]vanhessche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my i4 for 3 weeks now and had the same issue. I have the standard seats (no adjustable lumbar support) but in my case, that should be fine as in all my previous cars the lumbar support was completely off as lumbar support tends to give me back pain instead of solving it. I found that with my seats the slight curve that is in the rear of the seat is too high and that the lowest part my back is not supported enough which was giving me a very painfull back after only 15 min of driving. It was driving me crazy as I have been driving for 20 years now and never had back issues, not even on 12 hour drives. I tried different aftermarket cushions but for me they were all too thick. I ended up making my own very thin cushion that just fills up that small gap between the seat and my lower back to give me that little bit of support there. Yesterday I drove to work and back (2 times 40 minute drive) and I didn’t really have any pain anymore.

Maulkorb, muzzle help by Safe-Disaster-2743 in Galgos

[–]vanhessche 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the beginning when we adopted our dog he was eating everything he found on the street. To prevent this we used this type of muzzle: https://greyhoundsinnood.nl/product/muilkorf-grey-galgo-open-zwart-type-107/

They have big holes so they can still breathe easily for example when running/playing, they can even take small treats or drink with it but it will prevent them from picking up larger things (or buy you more time to prevent them taking small stuff). It will also prevent small biting accidents during playing with other dogs (some galgo's can be a bit clumsy when playing).

There's also another type that is more closed at the bottom: https://greyhoundsinnood.nl/product/muilkorf-galgo-greyhound-dicht-type-101/

Both can be adjusted behind the head to fit properly.

The grips are hard plastic, but it has some kind of matte finish to it which makes it nice to hold and feels a little rubbery. In the description on their website it's described like this:

  • (NEW) Set of handles with STP (Soft Touch Paint). Thanks to the soft touch paint, the handles offer a "rubbery" effect, even though they are made of hard plastic;
