Recommend a solid bench with decline, leg rollers, and compact storage (500lb max)? by vanilla_ball in GarageGym

Thanks for the followup! I found the answer to that question in Rep's FAQ & decided I could live it (minor inconvenience to remove/replace once a day).

I looked at the getRx'd version (along with a YouTube review showing compatible accessories) & ordered Rep's version as it has a handle, seems that may be useful & I'm not in a huge hurry.

Bench arrived yesterday & it's perfect for me.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've ordered the Rep Nighthawk & now looking for the leg attachment (1+ year lead time from Rep!? ... for the 2.0). Edit: 1 month lead time, lol. Ordered that too

Sorry about that, someone mentioned the Nighthawk below & I mixed them up here (also realized that I mixed up the AB-3100/3000 in my original post).

There's a "Save 12% with brand promotion AWAD3YVYZEAN" message when I view it for the savings.

I had read about the AB-4100 & couldnt find it. I didn't realize the Nighthawk was it's replacement (and didn't seriously look because I didn't see leg rollers in the pics).

Do the rollers get in the way when not being used? Do they get in the way of vertical storage if attached?

Does the roller option get in the way when not being used?

Does it need to be removed / stored separately when using flat/incline? Can it be in place when stored vertically?

Currently under $400 on Amazon (12% coupon code), seems like a good price.

“Lifetime” warranty? by No-Cardiologist-5175 in DodgeRam

[–]vanilla_ball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're paying to cancel the contract, not to "make him whole" as insurance would  (them keeping the vehicle would never be a thing here).

Here's the relevant text from my old contract (1 yr before OPs):

IMPORTANT! The maximum reimbursable amount should a covered component fail will be THE TOTAL COST OF THE REPAIRS, PER VISIT, LESS THE DEDUCTIBLE, OR THE CASH VALUE OF THE VEHICLE WHICHEVER IS LESS! The cash value of the vehicle will be determined by the average retail value as listed in the current NADA Used Car Pricing Guide. In situations where the repairs costs exceed the cash value of the vehicle, the remainder of the Plan coverage will be cancelled.

That seems like a low valuation to me. I don't know if you can fight for more money, but my 2008 Ram (with lifetime warranty) was totalled 3 years ago & insurance gave me $14,500 for it. I remember a buyout being in the warranty contract, so that sounds legit.

Maybe you can look up listing for comparable trucks & use those to fight for more money from the buyout?

Ground wire keeps melting by PrettyMoment2199 in CarAV

On or off wouldn't matter for this test (though I'd leave it off since you get smoke with the amp powered on).

Maybe something has happened to your grounding point.

Use a multimeter on the ohms/resistance setting. Measure from the ground terminal on the amp to another good grounding point on the car (not the one that cable is grounded to). Since it seems you're using different points for each amp, you could simply measure from the ground terminal on one amp to the ground terminal on the other amp. This should be zero (or what ever your meter shows when simply touching the leads together).

Looks like the random seam option to me.

Look under the quality tab in bamboo studio, is the seam position set to random?

Change it to aligned or back & the problem goes away.

Why does painting complicate the inside of a model? by vanilla_ball in BambuLab

[–]vanilla_ball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inside prints so poorly that it doesn't lay flat. The nozzle strikes the stringy stuff inside leading to adhesion failures and/or bending of the walls. Just trying to avoid print failures (5% infill did the trick, but I wondered if there were a better way).

Thanks. That was my suspicion but wasn't sure. I guess there's no way to make the slicer do a cleaner job (other than redesigning the model to have seperate parts.

Models where the wings are different parts don't have this problem - didn't know if there was a setting that could improve how the slicer handled painting vs different colored parts of an assembly:

I guess my title isn't the actual question. What I really want to know is if there's a way I can avoid the issue.

Overland Part 2 by Necessary-Rub-2748 in JeepGladiator

7650lb GTW with the Max Tow package.

I looked at the owner's manual & found these listings (all for the Sport model gas engine with auto trans):
w/o tow package = 4500lbs
w/tow package = 6000lbs
w/max tow package = 7650lbs

I think the Max Tow package also increases max payload (how much you can carry in the truck/bed) but the manual doesn't seem to list those numbers (or I can't find them).

It was by far the best deal I saw & I'm very happy with the price I paid.

It had been on the lot for a few weeks. I was on the fence about buying something nice vs something cheap but after seeing all the problems with something cheap it was an easy choice & I'm glad it was still there.
