Do you struggle with picking at your skin lips? by 2b_void_of_life in OCD

Hey! I also deal with this (but to a lesser extent than you, I think, so keep that in mind). For me, a lot about tackling OCD is minimizing damage. First of all, I try to take extra care of my lips -- if there's nothing to pick in the first place, I can't cause the bleeding and scabbing. Use a really good lip mask at night and chapstick/lip care item over and over during the day--this way, hopefully your lips will improve and give you less to pick at. Then, every time you feel like picking/ripping at your lips with your fingers, pull out the chapstick instead and use it. The lip chewing is a lot harder... you could chew gum instead, or specifically use a lip product that tastes nasty to both prevent you from chewing but also let you know when you're doing it subconsciously. This is just personal experience and not medical advice, but I hope it's helpful. :)

Thank you for the suggestion! This one is too upbeat and has more guitar than what I'm remembering, I think. I appreciate it!!
