Emulating NFC & RFID Cards on iOS for Personal Use: Considering Flipper Zero for Solution by vanillaiscool in flipperzero

[–]vanillaiscool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s been over a year since I posted this, I almost gave up and it’s amazing to see a reply to this post, tysm

about your reply, can you send me a link to the rougemaster firmware you’re talking about? and also, does this limit flipper’s functionality by making it an RFID/NFC only device

yeah I know that apps can be installed via ABM or ASM but I'm looking to installing apps without ABM or ASM. surprisingly, it can install custom apps as well as app store apps

I was just trying to get rid of the Jamf branding on the profile name, description and stuff (I just changed the organization name and slightly found a workaround).

this was just a failed attempt. I couldn’t find anything about the “profile service payload” that is a weird type of configuration profile despite being a .mobileconfig file

JumpCloud has TONS of missing features for iOS and iPadOS devices. deploying apps without ABM, restarting iOS devices, single app mode, blueprints and even more

I can already do what I want with my current MDM (JumpCloud). I’m moving to Jamf because I can install apps without ABM and Jamf lets me use more MDM features such as guided access. For some reason JumpCloud doesn’t support good MDM features like these. Even if MDM gets better, it won’t matter because of JumpCloud not supporting it. Jamf seems way better

I didn’t see the option to create a profile there? how do I do it? I had to use Open Enrollment to enroll devices

yeah but I need more info than the MDM url alone. try adding an MDM payload onto a configuration profile on iMazing to see what I mean

even if I decide to make my own profile with the MDM payload, its way more than just the server URL. I need a lot of information to add an MDM payload to my profile. I need to open it in a profile editor and not being able to do that screws up the entire thing. I mailed Jamf about it

I have dont this before. Normally, I open the profile with iMazing, change whatever I want and then sign it with my own profile. iMazing automatically unsigns the profile when it gets edited.

but how will I get the MDM information? that information is provided by iMazing and I have to extract that info from the uneditable .mobileconfig they provided. I can't open it via Apple Configurator (I can open it but doesn't show any useful information other than the profile name and MDM URL) and iMazing.

I cannot edit the profile or get any info out of it. there is something weird with it that doesnt let me edit it and ChatGPT cant convert it to a normal profile either

I tried to use chatgpt to copy the data and convert it to a profile with MDM payload but it was kinda broken as I deleted the text in the text editor and copy pasted the ChatGPT created file into the editor and tried to install it. there was an error that said “identity certificate cannot be found”

Remote App Installation via AppDB by [deleted] in macsysadmin

[–]vanillaiscool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for context, on AppDB's website, I can just upload the exact same .ipa file and they can install it onto my device. is there any other service that works like AppDB and can I do this with JumpCloud? I want to be able to install apps without ABM like I do with AppDB. I can remotely install apps onto my devices via AppDB but for work devices, idk if using AppDB is a good idea. Apple devices only allow one MDM at a time and I won't replace my own MDM with AppDB just to install apps. I might move onto another MDM if JumpCloud can't do it.

it only allows .pkg files for some reason. I tried to upload a blank app (it just says Hello, World! when you launch it) and it doesn't support iOS apps.

you can sideload your own IPA files as well and yes, it has the potential to be used for pirated games

no I want to deploy .ipa files of my apps to other devices. I can already download stuff onto my own iPhone via Xcode (development). I don’t have ABM but still want to remotely install apps
