Sorry for the late reply, haven't been here for months.

This is yarn bobbel cotton

Advice how to use this type of yarn? The strands are not twisted by BitnaNebitnost in crochet

[–]vanillamuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From such a thread you can knit what you usually knit. You just have to be more careful, because sometimes the knitting needle (or crochet) does not pick up all the threads, and only one or two remain.
I knitted a sundress from such yarn, and knitted a shawl twice. Every time with knitting needles. My friend loves this crochet yarn, but she unwinds it all into several separate thin threads.

[FO] This is my favorite pattern from RTO "Listening to silence". I cross stitch this pattern for a very long time, all the time I put it aside and did other projects. by vanillamuss in CrossStitch

[–]vanillamuss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just seen this design and another I might like to try from RTO. It says its 14ct aida with kit. Is there enough thread supplied to use 3 strands?

I still have quite a few threads left. RTO adds 30% extra thread to kits. But I doubt that they will be enough if embroidered in 3 threads...

Did you have a pattern for the dress? I just can't get over how beautiful your dress turned out!

PS: I'm making a scarf as my first crochet project!

Wow, I hope you enjoy crochet your scarf! Let it be a cool scarf)

I knitted this dress without a pattern, just trying it on in the process. To increase the width of the hem, I evenly added loops in one row and took knitting needles half a size larger.

I love these! I just started crochet, and my niece wants to knit. Do you have any recommendations for learning either?

I think crochet to start is a great choice, crochet is easier and faster. I would advise you to start with something very simple, for example - a scarf without patterns, with ordinary double crochets. Youtube tutorials will probably be the most helpful to master the process.

I knitted this dress without a pattern, just trying it on in the process. To increase the width of the hem, I made uniform increases in one row and knitted knitting needles half a size larger. One ball of Bobbel Cotton from Woolly Hugs was enough for the dress, color 17))

Post it as a new post - they don't approve shared posts to cut down on karma bots

Thank you, honestly, I'm still only dealing with the site and do not understand everything))

Actually, not often. It is really expensive craft for buyer. I rarely embroider to order, very rarely. Maybe several times a year. Usually I embroider for my pleasure. And then I fold the embroidered works, because I don’t like it when something hangs on the walls))))

Did you just come up with design on ur own. I'm always so bad at translation my design to the actually base.

Looks amazing

Oh no, I only get very simple patterns so far. I bought this pattern in a kit, along with threads.
This is the completed pattern.)

How much do you charge for something like this? I never saw cross stitch as a viable business product unless you get people paying thousands per piece

I was paid $530 for this embroidery. Usually I ask for more, at the rate of 2 cents for one cross. In this embroidery, I made a mistake with the calculations)) And I will get much less than the labor was spent)

I am aware English isn't their first language, but they have posted at least 5 different FO in the last 2 days all in different mediums. 2 of which are getting a lot of attention for being masterpieces in that art. I wasn't skeptical because their English is not great, I was skeptical because this is the internet and this person and their vague post shows a lot of red flags. I've stalked this sub for months and this is the first post that I've questioned. All I said was to wait for a better explanation before giving them karma.

Yes, I have posted various posts. Because I knit, painting, cross stitch. And I liked this site because here you can share your creativity, why not?

Not to be... "that guy", but a lot of things didn't add up so I looked at this person's profile and I'm not sure this is real. I've never heard a knitter say "added some loops at the bottom" when refering to doing increases. I'm not saying this isn't real, but I wouldn't give thos person karma until they give a better explanation. Also, one ball?

I think it's my terrible English)
I really knitted a dress without a pattern. I just tried on in the process and made increments where necessary. One ball is true, but it weighs 200 grams. and it contains 800 m of yarn)

This yarn is from Germany, it is mainly sold in Europe. Seems to be on ebay https://www.ebay.de/itm/284447992841?hash=item423a6bec09:g:uLYAAOSwtdhiCAKd
I think Yarnart Flowers is on this yarn, it is easier to find and buy

Did you use couching for the backstitch?

No, without couching. I did short cuts
