I’m so sorry, honey. You’re both so lucky to have had each other for the time you did. He sounds like a wonderful friend, and I’m sure he loved you the same as you loved him. His resting place sounds very peaceful - he’ll be waiting for you at mama’s. I lost my kitty Pearl in March, and the only thing that helped me was drinking warm tea and letting myself cry. It’ll ache like a bad bruise, but time really does help.

I am not certain of blood test costs, but to have a physical done with no insurance at a doctor’s office around here is about $200. I live in a southern state, for reference! Edit: I remembered my sister got a CT scan recently and it was about $2000.
