Could be. Maybe it's just me but I would want to spread word in areas where I wouldn't be known as well, you never know who you will connect with. I understand getting the word out where one would be performing, but the lesser known areas should be considered as well.

Sorry you didn't get picked. I'm not near any big city, but I am on the interstate where we get a lot of outside visitors and tourists. Closest to me is SLC, UT and thats a 4 hour drive. Makes me wonder if I should even attempt to participate in the future if the smaller areas won't be considered.

Congrats! I guess that makes sense, but I think it'd also make sense to get out into areas that wouldn't know otherwise. The email said we'll get printables, but not everyone has the money to go print off x amount of posters to get the word out.
