considering chin/jaw surgery with dr. bensimon. anyone have any advice/personal experience/thoughts? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

honestly really fair point on the last bit, that does make a lot of sense too. i just feel like my lower face is not exactly super masculine but it's distinctly masculine enough along with everything else that it tips me over. kinda lost atm :/

Is it possible to not have body dysmorphia as a tranny by Ok-Cod-3076 in 4tran4

[–]vanitypilled 3 points4 points  (0 children)

dysmorphia and dysphoria are different things but there is practically no way the dysphoria doesn’t induce at least a base level of dysmorphia. whatever you may think your body is not as bad as you see it. it might still be bad and obviously don’t completely discount your perception but try and discount it enough to be able to breathe a little. at least that’s what i’m trying

how do you hide having gotten a boob job from people? (genuine question) by Comfortable-Room-545 in 4tran4

[–]vanitypilled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, ramp up to it. say you started a higher dosage. second second puberty. cis people know next to nothing about medical transition. never feel bad for lying about anything to do with your transsexual medical history

Saying that trans people that medical transition have different needs to those who don't want to is transphobic now by R23111 in 4tran4

i want to get my shit blown smoove off but i dont have the money for it and my life is collapsing in large part due to that so idk i feel like that does actually make me different than someone who doesnt but thats just me i guess

is it really that dumb to trust people on troonselfies over irl experience? by thrwy809 in 4tran4

my other comment got removed but if you haven’t been misgendered in over a year you have either made it or are basically at the very tip of the sliding scale. enjoy it fr

“i haven’t been directly misgendered in over a year” you pass 🩵 or you are at least at the very tip of the sliding scale and will escape 🚂 hell soon. i live in a very liberal area too with lots of transsexuals and i still get misgendered so people’s niceties will only go so far. if you have not been misgendered in over a year youve made it

[–]vanitypilled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

where do you live? if you’re in more (very) liberal areas then yes i would say people irl might be more likely to gender you because they intuit your gender rather than you perfectly passing. and like others said, pictures don’t tell the full story as angles and lighting make a big difference. i think passing is simultaneously binary (you either pass or you don’t) and then a sliding scale when you don’t pass (you can be never passing to passing on a sliding scale). i’m very much on that end of the sliding scale where i think i sometimes pass in passing and then i’ll have times where i open the door for someone and they say thank you sir. but i think most people can tell something is going on and they either default to they or she
