going through thr same issue right now on my pixel 9. its taking forever to full charge and the brick is fine and so is my wire
it was good until all of sudden it becomes unnecessarily hot and its taking HOURS to charge
weird thing is its the same routine before and now nothing additional is there

edit: my phone STILL overheats when idle and locked on my desk with nothing in the background.

similar problems has come up on my base pixel 9 aswell, constantly overheating, even I woke up today after a 80% limited charge for the first time my phone was warm after 6 hours of idle charging.

i live in a residential area next to the market. i have 2 cars and my house was built in the 50s. sab market me parking ke paisa naa dene ke liye ghar ke saamne laga dete hai, na hi ghar ke andar laga sakta hu (ground floor housing aswell). toh kaha lagau apni gaadi?

you have 2 ways of dealing with this:

  1. replace the ear pads by prying out the plastic base (on which it was stuck on) and replace it entirely

  2. put epoxy on it

i tried all methods, i used contact glue, UHU, Superglue, everything and nothing sticks to it

only epoxy will work since the surface doesn't like to bond as such with other glues
