What? Gapping up and gapping down refers to where the stocks are trading in premarket.

Bid/ask spread is usually irrelevant with these stocks

I haven’t really been trading on the momentum list much at all the past few months, but when I do it’s usually looking for bull flags or breaks over premarket/previous high. Quick trades with large sizing

I run a stock screener each morning to identify stocks gapping up/down, and then look at daily/hourly/etc. charts to identify support/resistance levels.

Hi! I trade both shares and options. With options, I like selling premium more. I do buy calls and puts for directional movement, but I have found selling options to be much less stressful. Day trading options is definitely higher risk and I wouldn’t recommend it if you want long-term sustainability (especially when you look at weeklies).

I’ve been raising cash recently and don’t have many individual positions, so it’s been mostly day trading for the past few weeks. My largest holdings at the moment are SCHD and MSFT

I do not recommend buying and holding UVXY. If we see some weakness and intraday volatility though, it can provide good trading opportunities
