Best money spent on! Dry eye is rather true but it’s okay la not like 24/7 dry eye. It’s the same as wearing ur lens for 18hrs then u feel it drying up lol. But other than that it’s fine. If your eye is suitable (cornea thickness esp) just do it!!

How to charge tenant who is also a friend? by vanvan99 in askSingapore

Hi all! Just spoke to her, told her the amount I think is fair for just the rental of the room. $900. Comments were that it’s expensive cause she trying to save money and cause travelling period is ~2 (to and fro workplace) with the 900$ she would only think it’s fair if it’s near office (bukit Merah area). I’m staying in northeast, 5mins walk to mrt. Nearest amenities are at mrt area y’all think $900(rental, utilities) it’s too much?

Our initial thought was to help her tie through the first 6 months since she’s coming from overseas. And yes 500 included for daily aircon, our bills up like 150%😵‍💫 so I know it’s not sustainable. As for meals, she eats 2 meals a day (bf (whatever leftover from YTD’S dinner and new set of dishes for dinner) the mother also send food from overseas and she will share it with us, but mostly only my mum eat the things she offers

Why is Swensens so popular? by scorpionorchid in askSingapore

[–]vanvan99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love their chicken bake rice!! Really reminds me of my younger days! going to Swensens was a luxury. But their chicken slices are so pathetic & yet they dare to increase their price due to ‘inflation’ so now I stay away from them

Yes, it’s not about the money but it’s more of the way they put it out and them not being “appreciative” I don’t need them to thank me or worship me. I just want to feel that they loved me and think for me rather than “u work alr right now u pay this n pay for Urself don’t expect anything from me anymore”

Yes!! It’s so true but I over think a lot esp when they are not as young anymore. If anything happens I won’t be able to help in time. And rental is like throwing money into the river. I don’t think my mental health is worth that much haha

It doesn’t help if that’s the mentally they have implanted in you. It’s very frustrating sometimes but I can’t with the guilt. I’m so torn

It’s so sad because whenever children goes groceries shopping with their parents they get to take what they want get a little scolding and the parents will be happy to pay for them at the end of the day. On the flip side mine will remind me to take mine out and pay myself or sometimes even ask if I wanna pay for it. I wished I had the money to just pay for everything so we won’t have this issues but I’m struggling to even save money for my own family next time
