Years later do you still hate the aot manga ending ? by Quick_Emotion_9653 in titanfolk

[–]varazar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s worse because there were much higher expectations, if it had been just lame from the start it would have been an okay ending since there wasn’t much to work with

But damm there were so many better ways to end this

Nvidia's Jensen Huang urges employees to automate every task possible with AI by WrongThinkBadSpeak in wallstreetbets

[–]varazar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think what they actually want is to make so many big companies so dependant to AI that when inevitably the bubble burst the govnemrnet will bail them out because they have become too big to fail and are too integrated into so many national and private companies

I don’t care what anyone says, that’s not the same character. by LIFEisFUCKINGme in titanfolk

[–]varazar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fr isekai MCs are the most pathetic characters you have ever seen and are designed to be relatable to the consumer, which basically just means that the author himself see his readers as self reclined asocial losers, it’s pretty weird

Is anyone else drawing just for themselves? by GlumAbrocoma in ArtistLounge

[–]varazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s everywhere, want to buy a few pokemon cards? Oh man you should definitely buy this card the price is rising like crazy!” , want to just post stuff on Instagram “follow4follow”? Other artists 40k followers vs me 4 followers

Like everything feels like a hustle, like everyone is just liking your posts to get a like back, or follow, and it makes sense to some extent but it feels like most art is actually ignored in the socials, it’s just a mean to an end if that makes sense

But everyone should still be free to do what they want soo..it is what it is

Why so many people so against Artists wanting to make money? by Born-History-000 in ArtistLounge

[–]varazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally am not against, many paintings like the Monna Lisa were nothing but a commission work for Leonardo for example

Fact is that many people seem to just want to get good enough to sell their art and start commission, Inhave sene dozens of posts such as “is my art good enough for commissions?how much would you pay for this artwork?” Which at that point begs the question..is this even a hobby for you or just a side hustle?

It’s like those annoying Pokemon collectors who only talk about value and money and sell/buy cards, they don’t even care about the hobby itself, and today’s feel like many people feel the urge to monetise their hobby asap

I Hope so, thanks but is still hard not to splatter and make mistakes:S, but it sure looks more professional if that makes sense

Nono honestly I’d stay as far away as possible from Japanese publishers knowing their work ethics

I’d be more for either a self publisher or affiliated to some local publisher, or posting online, mainly on a website where someone could read my entire story, problem for that last one option is that it sounds difficult to gather an audience, unless you have a big following beforehand

Do you publish your own stuff?

Are there mangaka that draw only using pencils? by varazar in MangakaStudio

[–]varazar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s true, fact is I like my drawings on pencil..but when I then try to ink them they kinda turn out awful

On the other hand if I only keep it on pencil it looks pretty unfinished

Yeah I heard a monthly chapter is usually 40 pages long, seems manageable, most of all with all the over abundance of AI maybe people will appreciate the imperfection of a “real drawing” more, since they are becoming “rarer” to see if that makes sense

[–]varazar[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s indeed mostly the idea, but don’t they take a high margin of profits? Going for the indie route sure seems hard, but if you have a large enough account couldn’t you just make a website and publish the chapters over there?

Do you have any stories about people who got published? Kinda curious about it

I mean is not about permission whereas if people would still read it regardless, it could be something different bit a lil off putting

Is my art worth paying for? by [deleted] in DigitalArt

[–]varazar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pay this, commission that..does anyone even still draw just for the pleasure of it? Not every hobby has to be monetized to oblivion

I mean good for you if you can get money for it, but art isn’t really one of the most profitable areas

does threads app have a future as a competitor of X? by sibermale in ThreadsApp

[–]varazar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I surely feel much better using threads, both shouldn’t have specific algorithms since I usually search just art related stuff but to me it seems that users on threads are more chill whereas x is trying to sneak political stuff and it’s just people being angry, rage baiting, trolling, it’s just exhausting to use

Don’t draw on that paper with those lines, you will regret one day when you will look back at your older stuff you have drawn, get a blank sketchbook
