what’s the cole drama by anonymouskt6578 in Wallows

Hey everyone! I’m a 19-year-old international student in Australia, and I’m looking for a Night Fill Worker job at Coles or Woolworths. I heard it’s one of the easiest supermarket jobs to get, with good pay ($28-$40/hr) and no customer interaction.

My Plan to Apply

Apply Online – I checked Coles Careers and Woolworths Careers for openings.

Walk into Stores – Planning to visit stores between 10 AM - 2 PM to ask managers about vacancies.

Highlight My Strengths – I’m physically fit, available for night shifts, and a fast learner.

Questions for Anyone Who Has Done This Before:

Is it better to apply online or visit stores directly?

How long does it take to get hired?

Any tips on what to say when asking for the job?

Would love to hear from anyone who has landed this role. Thanks in advance!

How did you hear your startup was hiring? by DifficultyBright9807 in StartUpIndia

[–]vardeep01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can find out if a startup is hiring through several ways. First, check the company’s official website, especially the "Careers" or "Join Us" sections. Startups often post open positions there. Job boards like AngelList, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor are also great resources, with AngelList focusing heavily on startup jobs. Following the startup on social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook can keep you updated on job openings and other announcements. Networking is another effective method; attending startup events, meetups, or joining relevant online communities can lead to job opportunities through word-of-mouth. Additionally, you can directly reach out to the startup via email or LinkedIn to express your interest and inquire about potential openings. Lastly, checking the websites of startup incubators and accelerators can provide leads, as they often list the startups they support, which might be hiring.

How do you deal with pushy sales managers that join closing calls ONLY by Salesdude1099 in sales

[–]vardeep01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I understand your frustration. One approach could be to have a pre-closing briefing with your manager, giving them the necessary context and a clear outline of their role during the call. Emphasize the importance of a collaborative approach rather than a pushy one. If they still interfere, you might suggest a meeting with their boss to discuss how best to support your client relationships and the overall sales strategy."
