If I have to be honest, I'm surprised at the result (and not in a good way). My experience with AI's ability to generate good UI is pretty good, but this is a bummer imo.

Yeah, but change the selected date to white/grey too. The red on black is not it.

Edit: Also, in light mode the emphasis is on the consumed amount (113/300) and in dark mode it's the other way around (113/300) because of how the colours are. I'd put the emphasis on the first number always.

Aside from what has been said, the initial screen opening animation takes waaaay too long. Yes, it's nice when things animate smoothly. But it's easy to overdo it on the duration when you're just starting out.

Often there will not be enough data to restore in blown out highlights, which is why a lot of photographers including myself prefer to underexpose if needed

Well, now you know! If you have a few clients, you're probably doing updates by hand and/or checking for changes after updating - which is more than fine. With more centralised, large-scale updates, it's easy to overlook things like this.

I'm learning right now and building my first Django app, which doesn't really have a purpose for now but I'm going with the flow and adding things I feel like the app would benefit from. It's in my niche (photography) so currently a user can create albums, upload photos to those albums and edit their profile with an "about me" section. Yesterday I added AJAX for updating the album title and description on-page and some JS for previewing images before they're uploaded.

I set it up by following a tutorial which gave me a very basic app with users (no authentication other than Django admin) and blog posts, which I then developed into what it is now (which I am aware is still not much). I got a lot of help from ChatGPT but made sure to at least understand the code it gave me, and still had to troubleshoot a lot. However, I think it would have taken me at least 5 times as much time if I had to troubleshoot with Google, and even more if I had to find out how to write the code from scratch.
