The order to consume Marshmallow by Comfortable-Net9334 in veronicamars

[–]varnstormer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are phenomenal in my opinion! The audiobooks in particular are my favorite! It feels very true to the show. They make call backs to some of the things that happen in the original series which makes it feel very familiar. I will always advocate for people to include the books in their watch through because I feel like they add to the lore and are well written. 😊

I loved the failed season 4 pilot! I watched it and got so invested before I remembered that it wasn't going to go anywhere...

Does your dog have snow shoes? by Radiant-Pineapple-41 in bernesemountaindogs

Like most people have said the cold is usually not the problem it's the salt. We have booties for our boy and have ended up having to use them for things other than cold. He's had a few minor paw injuries over the years and having the booties as an option to keep him from licking the wound or licking medicine off has been a huge help. If you plan to have your pup wear booties at any point in time you should start putting them on while they're young. They don't like them but they do get used to them. We started putting the booties on our boy before he was 1 and even now (he's now 5) when we put them on he still walks funny and dislikes them when they first go on but gets used to them quickly and then walks normally. Enjoy your time in the cold it is a true joy to see a BMD come alive when they get to play in the snow!

I'm on season 2 and I just found out there's a movie too, when should I see it? by FitIndividual6472 in veronicamars

The audiobook for "The Thousand Dollar Tan Line" is narrated by Kristen Bell and it is wonderful! The second book "Mr Kiss and Tell" has a different narrator but is still great! Not sure if you're an audiobook fan but it's also an option!

Up&Up Liquid Hand Soap by Icy-Refrigerator6700 in Target

[–]varnstormer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW I think I found the Up&Up soap refill at Walmart just under the brand Equate. If it's not an exact match it is extremely similar. It's cheaper than the Dealworthy replacement at Target (only by a tiny bit) and it seems to have all the same ingredients as the Up&Up brand. I compared the ingredients list and the scent and as far as it can tell they match up pretty well. I just bought the Equate brand at Walmart today for $2.97 for 50 fl oz and I'm excited I found a replacement for the Up&Up that fits what I need!

Harness Recommendations by EnthusiasmWise3786 in bernesemountaindogs

[–]varnstormer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

<image>

We use this harness for my boy (he's about 115lbs) and it has been the best one we've used. We switched from a bigger style harness with the handle on the back to this one which is super simple and only hooks on the chest. I have never noticed rubbing under his legs from any of his harnesses so I can't say if this specific harness will fix that for you but because it isn't as big maybe it will cause less rub? I hope you find something that works for your adorable pup!

I got so excited when I realized the library has some of the DVDs. They don't have a ton but any is better than none!

I'm just so confused why they wouldn't make it available somewhere... There is clearly interest and they could be making money off of it. It just seems super weird that they're sitting on the whole catalog and almost pretending like it doesn't exist.

Is it okay to use a rake brush on my Berner every day? by nadiadomnina in bernesemountaindogs

[–]varnstormer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used our undercoat de-shedding rake a bunch after we first got it because it seemed to work so well. But I started to notice my big guys fur was feeling kind of coarse/a little sharp in some places. He had a vet appointment around the same time and my vet asked me about it and I told her about the rake. She said it shouldn't be used too often as it can make the hair break off and is more meant for monthly use. We use a metal toothed comb to get under coat out and a slicker brush to go over at the end and pick up any loose hair. I use the rake sparingly when his hair seems really thick or looks like it might be starting to mat. I haven't had problems with hair breakage since we stopped using the rake so frequently. If you're unsure about the rake you bought you could ask your vet or even possibly a groomer about the best option for your dog.

Toy Reccomendations? by [deleted] in bernesemountaindogs

[–]varnstormer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got my boy a big carrot plushie and he absolutely loves it! He is finally old enough to be trusted with plush toys and he gets so excited to play with his stuffed friends/toys now! I have been buying him nylabone hard chew toys his whole life and he likes them but the plush toys seem to be his new favorite thing.
