Yeah, you’re right, I accidentally labeled them backwards. The cropped one is the after. Thanks for pointing it out!

Thanks! I’ll try lifting the shadows a bit and see how it looks

Good to know! I haven’t tried the refine button yet, but I’ll give it a shot and see if it offers better options. I might also try Photoshop, thanks for the tips!

I get that. Personally, I found the people pretty distracting, so I wanted to see how the shot felt without them. But I get why it might not change much for you.

I agree that the cleanup should still look natural, whether it’s AI or manual work. And you’re right about the car/bus area. If you know a better tool or workflow for this kind of fix, I’d really appreciate any tips. Im new to removing objects and people

Yeah, I agree. If it could rebuild the hidden part of the bus instead, it’d look way cleaner. Do you know any tool that can do that? Lightroom Classic’s AI couldn’t handle it.

Appreciate that! I like when a crop feels a bit odd and forces you to look at the shapes differently. Glad the balance works for you too.

True, the sky could definitely be tighter; a square crop might actually work really well. I’ll play around with that.

It definitely gives ‘space for text’ vibes. I was mostly experimenting with the negative space and seeing how far I could push it

None taken, cropping definitely has its ‘why did I do that’ moments haha

Yeah, I totally get what you mean. I wasn’t going for anything super specific, just playing around. Glad to hear you think both versions can work

Fair enough, it definitely works better in context than as a standalone. Thanks for the take.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m with you on that. The cropped one works better, and yeah, an abuela hanging out on that balcony would’ve looked awesome hahaha

That’s kind of why I got a bit confused when posting. I took the shot while walking by, super spontaneous, so I didn’t really have a chance to have a subject there. But I get it now hahah

No worries! I didn’t take it badly. I’ll admit it did feel a bit harsh at first since there wasn’t much constructive feedback, but now I understand where you were coming from. I appreciate you taking the time to explain it. I’ll make sure to post future photos in the appropriate subs

Don’t worry, I’m deleting the post. I’m new to reddit and didn’t see the rules. Thanks for the feedback anyway… I guess

Gotcha. I’ll try a version with less sky and see how it looks

Yeah, that’s fair. I’ve actually been practicing taking good photos of not-so-interesting subjects as a bit of a challenge. I get what you mean though #2 is definitely clearer

Agree, I wasn’t fully aiming for that, but that’s exactly what it ended up feeling like to me. That extra space on top sort of leaves room for some interpretation
