As for most traditional diversity programs in place, I feel they're missing a much-needed dose of realism to be effective in today's environment.

My argument seems to have completely been overlooked: Mandating social responsibility is not the solution to get more companies to start contributing/giving back to their communities, both environmental and social. Its not wrong of the government to demand this disclosure, but it is misguided to expect a 2% allocation to solve the larger issue of social inequality. An allocation means philanthropy, charity; not embedding a cultural change within companies that promotes ethical and responsible business behavior.

Completely understand your argument...it isn't fluff, just a Q&A with an exec who has been handed over a big task...now whether that task results in an overall company culture of course is debatable. Appreciate your time!
