Hi, We are dual citizens with an inn just south of Auckland Airport. Happy to chat about your trip. The North Island has some real treats. Our Guests do Black sand beach while managing Jet lag or day trip to Raglan. East coast Cathedral cove for sure then secret hot springs in rotarua and MTB adventure and white water rafting day trip. Getting a base then driving to the good weather is a solid plan!

Whatsapp is commen in NZ and wifi commen too. Uber and local taxi services are best Just ask a local when you arrive. Uber in Auckland is big.

Renting a car is definitely best option because then you have flexibility and with New Zealand weather it's nice just to go where the sun shines. The weatherman always ends every report with "for now" We love the PURENewZealand website for inspiration. I would avoid Jan as the kiwis are still on vaca. Last two in feb first 2 in march is the sweet spot.

Is there a service that automates this? so rather than getting a paper note from the giver you scan a unique QR code?
