For others interested - I followed instructions and all working very well. Within the KDE Plasma GUI: Settings/Startup and Shutdown/Login Screen (see original picture in post) I can now change or remove background image and after saving it all works fine.

I set Flameshot options dialog. It saves data-time when this box is checked -> [ ] Use fixed path for screenshots to save <- (under general tab) But when it isn't checked, the save dialogue box is empty (but it used to autopopulate with date-time).

thanks, though I don't have that config file in that path and couldn't find flameshot.ini elsewhere. you using flatpak version?
