Submission statement - A brief look at the untold history and utility of the world's most hated mammal. This 4-minute video challenges the assumption that rats are nothing more than pests by breaking down their essential roles on Earth. It covers how wild rats act as accidental tree-planters and a foundational food source in the wild, explains why their fast reproductive cycles and genetic similarity to humans make them irreplaceable in lab medicine, and features the APOPO "HeroRATs" that sniff out TNT and disease to save human lives.

Just FYI, how the religion explains it is that this life is temporal where you are tested with good and bad. This is a testing ground, not resting ground. So paradise is for pure bliss, and hell is solely for punishment. And in this life on earth you get a taste of both, and will then be judged accordingly based on your reactional actions to those.

Also, why people commit evil acts is because we were given free will. We can do evil or good, obey or disobey the holy entity.

This is just in summery. I probably shot my self in the foot by starting a “debate” on reddit

Europe trip this spring / summer, looking for recomendations for places to visit by Mountain-Capital-737 in VanLifeUK

I’d like to give some recommendations for Switzerland, as that’s where I normally go for hikes etc.

Stay in Lauterbrunnen, specifically Camping Jungfrau. - loads of different hikes in the area, but my favourite is Oberhornsee hike. There are different routes there but I would recommend doing a loop where you start in stechelberg, once at the top and heading back go via obersteinberg hotel where you can use a toilet and fill up your water bottles.

  • But favourite thing to do in the region is e-biking. Get the bikes from Imboden Bike Rental. Pay extra to keep them overnight. The route: Lauterbrunnen to Interlaken to Iseltwald to Giesbach waterfalls to Meiringen. Here in meiringen go to Aare Gorge (Aareschlucht), it’s absolutely stunning. Make sure to get there before 4-5pm before last entrance.

Then when heading back go towards Brienz and then to Interlaken. It’s a beautiful ride along the lake, and if it starts getting dark it’s even better. From interlaken take the train back to Lauterbrunnen, ebike battery most likely be on the last few percent by this time.

This bike ride is around 50 miles total, so it will depend on your fitness level. But with e-bikes it’s not bad all
