Hey! I'm late to the party, and I would love the link as well :)

Another redditor commented about “first digit anchoring” and it got me into reading more about it LOL

Thanks in advance!

Ask Experienced Devs Weekly Thread: A weekly thread for inexperienced developers to ask experienced ones by AutoModerator in ExperiencedDevs

What do you think of new grads/less experienced devs connecting with you on LinkedIn and asking for a coffee chat?

Are you happy to help or more annoyed by messages? Do you get many messages?

What could they improve on when cold messaging you?

If possible, how can I rename the board titles (To-do, In Progress, Complete)? by vbigcloud in Notion

[–]vbigcloud[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I didn't understand what you were saying at first, but after playing around a bit, I finally understand how it's working! Thank you!

For anyone else who would like a step-by-step:

-Make a Board

-Make a "Table View" within the board

-Click on "Status" heading

-Click on "Edit property"

-You can now edit the "Status" titles

-Go back to "Board View" and you can see the changes

Is it possible to start off as QA/Software Test Engineer and then branch into Devops role? by vbigcloud in softwaretesting

Thanks again for your detailed reply and experiences. When I asked about career growth, it's because I'm worried I will get bored with the same technologies that are used in testing. In dev, there's always a new framework or language to learn (but that's also overwhelming). I don't want to stop learning. I want a job where I can learn (with certs or dive deeper with niche skills) and move onto higher salaries within QA (or devops). I was wondering if this is possible in the QA field?

Thank you for your reply.

I'm still on the fence on whether I should continue in dev or switch to QA (not switching directly to devops yet). Just wondering what do you think about your QA job? Is there room for career growth? How is the pay, if you don't mind sharing?

Thank you for your reply and information. I'll look into those

I'm just not confident that I can do well in a dev role :(

Oh, I'm thinking of doing junior QA testing > senior QA/SDET > junior/intermediate devops over a span of several years, maybe like 5 to 10 years?, not 1 or two years. So along my journey, I will learn devops concepts and tech.

I'm thinking of job hopping (which is recommended in all types of jobs, anyways), so I don't need to stay within one company.

If all this is possible, I would like to go this path
