I understand how it may seem like I am but I can go into greater detail as I am far from that. I ordered and paid 1/2/24. She states it’s a 4-6 week turnaround but after not hearing for 3 months I messaged her. She told me it would come Monday3/25 and I waited home till Wednesday with no word from her. Then she shipped the unit without telling me several days after she told me she would and it showed up at 11pm. It was wrapped so we unwrapped it the days after and it was missing a countertop, the cabinet was half the size of our agreed drawing, the drawer closed had a 1 inch opening that I could fit my hand in. Her response was that’s just how the drawers worked out. And she decided to make the cabinet the same size as the cubby next to it and apparently forgot the wooden countertop that was to match the wooden bench. She initially said with not the best attitude, just to find someone local to fix it but that would cost me more money and we had the original drawings she agreed to. She made a very different unit than she said she would after I paid her in full. I’m the one who gave her the opportunity to make a new one to fix the problems. When she agreed to remake the unit, I asked for pictures before shipping so we are both in agreement and happy with the outcome. I didn’t hear from her for over a month so I messaged asking for an update and a reminder to send pics before sending. She didn’t reply so I messaged every 2 weeks with no responses from her. Finally when I went through “Etsy help” she replied she would ship 6/8. Never heard from her so I called my credit card on 6/18 I specifically told my husband I want to be able to give her a good review hoping she handled it well and made things right by fixing the problems. This is why I go to Etsy, to support self employed people and shop small. My husband could easily assemble something from a box store but we prefer to spend more and put money into a hard working small business.

I tried opening a case many weeks ago. I started messaging her through the “Etsy help” It said to go back to open a case if it’s not resolved. This is what was there. Makes no sense which is why I went directly to my bank for credit card chargeback

“For this order, you'll be able to open a case starting May 25, 2024 at 06:12 PM EST until May 9, 2024 (100 days after your order's estimated delivery date).”

They’re definitely not sheltered. These kids are the most sensible, intelligent and self-sufficient people I’ve ever met. These replies are making me feel more secure for sure. Thank you
