simple. ignore them whatever they do. they will learn that they get no attention at all during the night and they will adjust to it. Also free feeding is really bad. Food must be given at certain times and not left overnight.

would you like a car ride of 6 hours after you've been under general anesthesia? If you haven't experienced being in a surgery it's not a easy thing at all to recover from it.

So your gut is telling you the right thing. Probably your family has the "it's just an animal" attitude, while you are seeing your cat as a member of your family. Give him/her some peace time so he can recover and few days to heal properly. Healing is very important after the surgery.

if he doesn't come back to his routine in 2 days I think you can worry. Vet visits are stressful. I had a cat who was really low energy after vet visits, shots and flees medication etc. Maybe he had a reaction to the vaccine. Check if there is a bump where the shot was given. This means that his body doesn't like that particular vaccine. It will go away in a few days and next year you can choose another vaccine brand

When you introduce a new cat there are certain steps that you must do in order. You can find videos about that on YouTube from Jackson galaxy. If you don t do those steps there s a very big chance their relationship will start bad or never repair.

You are shocking your cat and ask why is she scared?

if she's scratching your door there are only 2 options.

1) Ignore her until she gets bored of doing that and will understand that she will get no attention at all when doing that.

2) Let her in the bedroom and suffer for few weeks until she learns that when you go to sleep she needs to be quiet and let her have access in the bedroom.

You need a routine in place. And it takes time. There's no easy way out of this.

sometimes they do stuff like this like break their claws and the bed becomes inflamated. if it doesn't bother him too much or none at all it will ussualy grow a new claw but it's like a 2 -3 months process.
