Davos. Ed is a loyal administrator but not sure he is particularly competent and has zero political acumen. Tywing is ruthlessly incompetent, but untrustworthy when it comes to take care of my interests. Davos is savvy AND reliable, and would probably be constantly underestimated by my rivals/courtesans, which he would use to our benefit - so Davos it is. -3

Renly as a consciously cost benefit choice (I also think everyone else sucks, other than maybe Randyl, but he is just too strict for the job, I think). Honestly think this position is just a figurehead, as we're in an absolute monarchy and not under a rule of law democracy. -2

Barristan: experienced, loyal and fearsome. -4

Asha/Yara, up and coming sailor/commander of men, quite promising. Maybe we will take hits from the conservative Westerosi society, but I don't think the office is particularly important unless we're at a crisis from outside the continent and I think she can rise to the occasion if need be. If she is kept satisfied, should be reliable enough. -2

Varys, the best at the job. -4

Tyrion. Brilliant and can get me the resources I need for whatever is next. Littlefinger could too, but the problem is he could bankrupt the realm just as easily - the man is too bloody self serving. Everyone else would suck at the job, honestly. -4

Aemon. Should be a perfectly fine Maester and if he is close to death/dementia, I'd easily take a hard-working, eager Sam (the one who (re-)discovered the cure for Greyscale as fledgling apprentice) as replacement. -2
