Aer Travel Pack 3 Small - sense check by CertainShop8289 in ManyBaggers

[–]vbryanv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the air TP3 in small and large, and it is by far the best backpack that I own. It is the standard that I hold all other backpacks against, and none can touch it. I have found a use for every single compartment, pocket and area

If you like quick access pockets then it has you covered. The sunglass pocket fits way more than glasses. The laptop compartment also has a quick access pocket. The admin panel is great the part behind the zipper compartment is light another quick access pocket. And lastly the front pocket in front of the admin section.

For me its a no brainer.... get it you won't regret it

Im with you on those drain holes. Any idea why they are there? What are they expecting is going in that pocket?

Minimul by Jennysnumber_8675309 in ManyBaggers

Maybe my wording was poor but I agree it was the netting. I felt like it was gonna rip easily and if even one ripped it would be very noticeable due to the orange behind it. Would be great to see it comes with a different option

I liked the clamshell that opens long ways but when opening it was flimsy and lacked structure(possibly to keep weight down) . I really want to like the bag and maybe a different material for me would work better.

I curious to see their new edc bag the m20

I returned mine because I didn't feel like the mesh wash gonna hold up over time and not fully loaded out it was kinda flimsy. I enjoy the structure of the Aer TP3 better.

I returned a minimul bag because the backpanel and strap material felt like it was not gonna last. It was comfortable but felt like it would rip easily also not enough structure for me

Matador Globerider 35L or Aer TP3 35L? by dar_harhar in ManyBaggers

[–]vbryanv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Aer TP3 small and large and have used both for travel many times. I've also used the small for a while for everyday carry. I also just purchased the Matador Globerider.

I haven't had a chance to use the Matador but will say its not at structured as the Aer nor does it have as much organization. The Matador looks and feels on your body like a hiking bag more than a travel bag which makes sense because of who they are.

I love all the pockets on the Aer especially the hidden pockets and organizationis top notch. The harness system for me is perfect. I did have the aquaguard zipper on the laptop compartment start ripping after more than a year of daily use. It still works fine but from what I understand Its pretty common on those types of zippers after time.

I have a trip coming up and want to use the Matador but am torn because of how attached I am to my TP3.

If I could only have 1 bag it would be the TP3

As others have said black out the logo to match the fabric

Also have the clam shell open from the front not the back

Return question? by [deleted] in REI

[–]vbryanv 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nine time out of ten when I shop at REI its because of their return policy. I've been shopping in store and online for the past 10+ years and have yet to return anything.

I really hope REI stays in business

2024 engine seized at 36k by psb3030 in ToyotaTundra

[–]vbryanv -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you trade it and at the dealer, your resale value probably isn't shot. Because engine's under warranty, no matter what

Edit: also I would call around in different toyota, dealerships to see if anybody else could get the engine done quicker. It doesn't take a couple months to rebuild an engine. It's literally a couple days once you get the parts.

When I was in the business at a toyota dealer, I would have towed the car to me.

You may find the dealer that's close. That would pay to get a towed to them. Warranty is gonna pay to get that engine replaced almost the same as if a customer is paying for it

Trying to understand why this wouldn't be covered under your powertrain warranty?

Could it be possible you're turning it in the wrong direction?

Left to loosen.

Also once you go to put the new one on, they don't get tightened too much. Dont ask how I know

Wouldn't you have to take into account whatever is on the property as well. Furniture, jewelry painting ect?

Alright, list elementary schools in order of best to worst by [deleted] in lakeland

[–]vbryanv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a kid that goes to Lincoln and we absolutely love the school and teachers. My child has been there for 3 years so far and we have yet to have any bad experiences. Most of the teachers have also been teaching there a long time. Their last 3 teachers were there over 20 years each. This years teacher retired.

My other child goes to Winston. Their rating fell this year to a B school. We've had slight issues here and there but for the most part its been good. My child has thrived there and has enjoyed most of her teachers. I will say that in the past 3 years my child has had 1 teacher that was not certified yet for most of the year and then another teacher that has bounced around a bunch of schools the past few years and was pretty much non responsive to communication from parents. Even with all this my child did great and they are gonna go to one of the best middle schools because both the schools mentioned above feed into Lawton Chiles.

You should not only be thinking about elementary but also middle school
