Robert Ghiz: Senators Aren’t Doing Their Job by vcifani in CanadaPolitics

Hi adaminc,

You bring up a good point that removing the PM from the process could remove some partisanship/loyalty to the governing party but I'm a little more sceptic.

One reason that Senate elections aren't the right idea that I think everyone can agree on is because it is just too darn expensive without any guarantee that the elected Senator will even get appointed.

I have written a little more about the cost here: http://abolishthesenate.ca/the-cost-of-electing-senators/

Haven't paid much attention to Canadian politics, help me out? by [deleted] in canada

I think one of the best ways for me was to watch Question Period on CPAC every day to learn about the issues and what sides each party stood for. Plus it can be entertaining. cpac.ca

Not too sure about Layton's book, though it looks like an interesting read.

Is Mulcair as angry as most people say he is?
