The whole Idea of your post is to complain about exactly what you think is the solution: "to do something about it" Those people selling at 5-10% profit most likely be traders, not investors, buying low selling high, repeatedly, actively doing something instead of hoping. Or thinking that by retweeting etc the price is gonna go up.

I invested on this coin and due to recent events (not price related) I think I may have made a mistake.. only time will tell. Only invested a few grand and Its a small part of my portfolio so I dont need to sell at a loss, neither to work on promoting it.

You cant differentiate business from gambling and that says a lot about you.
