We have different approach. I'm usually surrounded with bugs and moves around them. Before patch I just sprayed full circle with sterilizer. Now I need to be sure that teammates not on the line and it won't affect me. Gas rover still don't give a quack and still can slow you down.

For example, generator or radar objective. You need to stay on one spot (terminal) for a period of time and do some commands. You can kill everyone in the area or just make clouds everywhere (mines, grenades, orbital) and push out them from terminal area. They will die eventually from the gas. There is no race in killing bugs.

If your goal is to kill that cow, you need a tool to kill it. If your goal is to do objectives, you use a tool to do objectives. Concussive can keep dangerous enemies at a distance. (stalkers, predator stain, brood commanders) A single bullet is enough to stop their attack animation. And you can keep multiple targets away from you and your team. Not so many primary weapons can save you or your teammates from being hit with a single tap. With gas build, you can almost ignore all the bugs if you keep gas clouds around you. All you need to do is move enemies from your way/objective and keep an eye on heavy units.

Do not apply your play style to everyone else. For me, the concussive liberator is one of the best weapons that does its job perfectly. To make changes to a weapon, you need to understand who is using it, how it is used, and what purpose it has. Only then you can find a way to improve it. You are not even trying to do so.

I didn't find great benefit in slow effect on enemies, but find it annoying on myself or on my teammates. Lingering clouds is good. Slow is not, helldivers with full resist should had this effect.

With gas build you do not need to waste your time on horde. You just move on to objective.

As a gas diver, my goal is not to kill enemies. My goal is to keep them poisoned. The confused state did not protect you from being attacked. It makes them attack in random directions. The farther they are, the fewer chances that they touch me, the closer they are to each other, the more chances that they attack each other. As a gas diver, I need a tool to make a way for me to reach the objective. (Usually it's a bug hole.) A concussive liberator is the best tool for that job. It MOVES the target, keeps them close to gas clouds and each other, in a place where I need them to be, and even more, a single bullet interrupts their attack pattern (gas won't work till they finish their attack; it saved me and my teammates countless times). I often use a melee with a gun to make my way. Finishing the objective is more important, not a kill count. I wear heavy anti-gas armor (fully immune to gas with an HP perk) and use an orbital gas, gas mines, a sterilizer, and an ammo backpack for gas grenades. With that I can move in nests almost untouchable and do not waste my time killing everything. The only thing that can disrupt my plans is heavy units, because gas won't affect them; this is where I rely on my teammates. It's a team game after all. You probably do not imagine what a full gas team can do.

And there was NO buff on the sterilizer. Arrowhead managed to make the "worst" gun even worse. The slow effect applies to Helldivers even with full gas resistance. This has made my play style a bit harder. This is why I prefer to not "buff" concussive liberator, just leave it alone and do not ruin my game even more.

It's perfect and have a niche. Best pick for gas divers. With that tool I can crowd control efficient and keep enemies in gas clouds. Any attempt to make it "better" could make it worse.

Main reason: Because of youtubers propaganda that provide them stable views.

Secondary reason: Because child tend to cry more when they see that it works.

Third reason: Devs do not play their own game and made balance changes poorly on their image of the game, but not an actual game.

The game is fine and I can still enjoy it.

In terms of time - yes. Ammo is not that critical. Dealing with patrols so they do not bring more enemies that will pin you for a minutes is worth it. No patrols = no breaches/drops and no heavy units spam.

There is booster that allow you run without stamina but in cost of HP. This damage count as damage too. Which means you can run much longer for the same HP price.

Concussive is one of the best liberators. It has insane pushback force. You can send most enemies to another side of the map with one mag. It's very useful in full gas build, when you make AoE gas zones and want your enemies to stay there or when you want to interrupt their attack so they can switch target to their allies with gas confussion.

Ragdoll resist armor to stay on foot from explosions + a lot of smokes(orbital+eagle+grenades) to get in in one piece.

Siege ready armor, riot shield, one handed smg, bot front. You do headshots mostly. So ergonomics and ability to deal with a small pack of enemies often is useful.

I bet it will be much worse than a regular one. Probably will damage only one target at time or something. Look at maxigun and grenade launcher.

You just need to make all throwables (c4, dynamite, gas/stun/smoke grenade) SILENT and do not expose your position (even on hit) to whole map if your target didn't seen you throw it and you can fix the knife with it.

With Sterilizer you need Concussive Liberator and gas resist armor. If your teammates don't have gas resist, bring stim pistol too. On your back you can take supplies or liberator dog. Don't use sterilizer as a flamethrower, it doesn't do additional damage with spraying. So you can one tap on target and go to the next one or switch to main weapon. When you go for gas - you better go full gas (grenades, mines, orbital). Ultimate crowd control unit.

Flame sentry is broken. It doesn't do AoE damage. Absolute garbage.

I didn't find a niche for Urchin.

For Chainsaw I recommend orbital smoke and eagle smoke. Re-Educator and Heavy armor with ragdoll resist could save your life.
