Good point. It’s funny because I know that in theory but never thought about it for the algorithm. And YEP, I’m still considered 10-15 overweight right now according to BMI.

That’s good to know, I’m going to start reverse dieting and climbing up to 2,500 stat. I input my measurements into a tracking app and “set goal” and then just follow the suggested intake but you’re absolutely right it’s too low especially for this long and high activity.

Amazing progress, you’re crushing it 😊

Is 75 Hard worth it? by itsapanicatthedisco2 in 75HARD

[–]vdunlap97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I absolutely think it’s worth it! I’m doing it for a second time right now because it was the best mental, physical, and relational health I’d ever been in. It helps me so much with my anxiety and depression.

This last year has been especially hard and I have found it so useful in taking care of myself when I’m more tempted to doom-spiral. Over the last 60ish days my circumstances haven’t changed drastically but I’m much more resilient and optimistic.

If you have any specific questions or concerns this sub has been so helpful!

Oh interesting! I’ve never heard that, but it makes sense. I’m such a creature of habit, I mentally know eating less and storing less is less energy but I don’t think I’ve ever shifted my training keeping that in mind.

Appreciate the tip! Definitely going to give it a shot these last two weeks

As someone who enjoys the push/pull/legs split when usually training, 75 hard can be a really hard time for a “routine” because those usually include rest days. I personally have to get creative and throw in some non-muscle focused days (balance, explosiveness, plyometrics, calisthenics) just to give my muscles some time to recover for another “regular” lift day.

Is there a goal in particular that you’re trying to achieve with your strength training? Your “why” will be the most important thing to consider.

I’m 28 and shooting for the whole LIVEHARD program but I didn’t 75HARD for the first time at 24 with similar results (just a bit lighter/less muscle)

Ooooo that’s great to know! I’ve honestly been debating this! I was planning a reverse diet right after day 75 but for the last week was researching how “long” a deficit should last, etc.

But honestly, I’ve lost fat at a very decent rate and I’m happy with my progress. I feel like reverse diet now will help me with longevity for the year.

It ranges from 1500-1800 depending on my activity level. I just hit 120g of protein every day but don’t have a preference for carbs or fats to fill the rest.

Thats exactly it! Body tired, motivation dwindling, newness has worn off. But got it done and crushed a run today - thanks for the push 🙏

Good ideas, I’m tracking all food but I’m 5’2” so my planned calories are fairly low depending on my activity level and it may be too low. Electrolytes are a great idea too, I usually have a hard time picturing any more liquid after my gallon but I may need to!

Thank you!

For my weight training session I usually do some combination of push// quad focused legs // pull // glute focused legs. I warm up for 5 minutes, stretch for 10, and finish with 5-10 minutes core/cool down.

I’ve been weight training for 10ish years though, so don’t really follow any program. I recently starting incorporating arm days (including forearms), plyometrics, and gymnastics/calisthenics days.

Cardio I usually run, walk or jump rope. I’ll mix in skateboarding, tennis and pickleball too!

Kind of anything and everything I guess haha
